Marie-Claude has already taken the perfect picture! We found a poster for the May 24 Ottawa show that was still on a post in NOVEMBER, so we had to take a picture of it. Unfortunately, when we came back to the site with a camera, the middle part of the poster had been ripped away, leaving only the guy's heads, shoulders and legs. It's really strange but it looks great. I should post it sometime. :) hKath "Don't you hate it when you find out your ex-girlfriend's not fat anymore?" -- Topon Das - -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Jan 1999 06:02:40 GMT From: Srm9988n@aol.com Subject: Re: Moxy at the Roxy degenerate chad noted: > Of course, he and Jian > both checked to make sure that the dolls were, ahem, correct > in every detail. Thanks for "clearing the air". Oh, I hope you didn't think that was an attack on Robbie. I actually have nothing against him (except that horrid Angels song, which I hated - -- played nonstop while I was in Holland, in every store, on every channel, etc etc). I have an almost disturbing love for all things pop. My brother has a growing concern about it, but I think it's healthy. It's my brain candy. Hey, if I spend every day pondering serious ethical dilemmas, conjugating French verbs and writing poetry, I get to take a break and listen to some sweet sugar cane! So, I must attempt to smooth your (potentially) ruffled feathers. I love Take That (admittedly, I know a bit less of Robbie's solo stuff, but what I've heard is good), and I was only trying to point out the EXTREME difference between the comic and the vocalist. Notes about Mindy's and others' assorted Q's: the Pisco dance is really just a hand jive; you'll learn it at FruCon if not at the Washington show (which BTW I'm not going to, but I've got tix for Philly the following night). Paradigm Shift was the name they gave themselves New Years Day in an improv about changing their image and marketing for the new millenium. Booty is shorthand for Boo Time. MPG, as Andrea noted, is a really powerful, very heavy new song called My Poor Generation which unfortunately I don't remember too clearly. My head is fine -- I don't know whether I actually did have a mild concussion or just basic Frudelirium, but it didn't stop me from enjoying the shows at all, just from remembering them, so I consider it no biggie. - -- Lori (a/k/a murrmaid@my-dejanews.com) ****************************** "fru gud me sleep now" -- Dante B.
