Oh yeah... shameless self-plug: Anyone in the Rochester area or into spur of the moment road trips- I am part of two choral groups with the Rochester Institute of Technology; RIT Singers and the RIT Alumni Chorale. We, in conjunction with Encore (ladies octet), 8 Beat Measure (the men's octet that does the really cool cover of KoS and Spiderman that I rave about) Brick City Singers (another mens sectional) and the Ladies Sectional (*gasp*) are performing in a Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols this Sunday, Dec. 13th at 3:30. Its a free concert, inspired by a similar service that takes place in England (or so I'm to understand). Passages from the New Testament telling of the events leading to the birth of Christ are read, with associated music being performed in between. Some of the pieces include "O Magnum Mysterium," "Laudamus Te," "Once in Royal David's City," and "While By our Sleeping Flocks We Lay." Though it is a Christian service, many of my pagan friends and a few of my Jewish friends have attended in past years and have thoroughly enjoyed it. If you are interested, it will be held at the Allen Memorial Chapel in the Schmitt Interfaith Center at the RIT Campus in Henrietta. (the Interfaith center can be accessed via the Student Alumni Union). Feel free to email me if you need more info... all are welcome :^) Ok, I'm done (for the moment). Ok, this is probably gonna make most if not all of you go "HUH?!?" but I need to get this figured out. There was a television series in the early to mid 80's that aired for only one season (maybe less). Because I was pretty young at the time, I don't remember some of the key details that would help me figure out the name of the series, but I'll give you all the details I can. It was very Tron-like. The main character seemed to have a digitized body with a normal head. His body was overlayed with tv static. He had his little companion which was conveniently called "Cursor." He told it to make something, and Cursor made it. I distinctly remember one episode where he had Cursor create a car and was involved in a car chase. At a T intersection in the middle of the city, he made a 90 degree turn at like 50 (just like the bikes do in Tron). The bad guys figured if he could do it, they could too, and ended up crashing into a storefront. Anyway, that's about the extent of my recollection. Somebody told me the name of it once a long time ago, but I can't for the life of me remember. I keep wanting to say ElectronMan or something like that, but I don't think it's right.
