(I think its for real) they named themselves after a great environmentalits in toronto named marion fruvous. Aparently she really kicked everybody in the pants and got them going on the whole recycling, reducing reusing deal. they also did a great little musical type thing .. with them all acting out great little parts describing her and her crusade. it was great. a wonderful night had by all I'm sure. thats it for now.. I need to get back to studying. molly ------------------------------ Date: 8 Nov 1998 02:11:02 GMT From: bbwminors@aol.com (BBWMinors) Subject: Re: Fruvous Jerseys They definitely have ALL of the jerseys with them on the road because when I asked Jude if there was any chance I was going to get the one I ordered in time for the Monday show (Baltimore), she told me that she didn't have any in stock because the guys had all of them with them to sell at the shows. So I guess I'll just go to the Vault topless and buy mine there (kidding sort of -- the topless part, not the buy one there part). I arrived at the original meeting place about fifteen minutes early and saw the line ...panicked a bit and then saw katrin, standing off by herself with a small sign. we discussed what to do, and decided to hang out and wait; 'Where's allan ' she asked me...' I don't know, ' I said...(our first quote of the evening...see below...) Soon, Bridgett saunterd over...just in time to hear a dance-beat version of BNL's 'one week' blaring over the resauraunt's sound system. It was agreed; we could all have lived alot longer without hearing that...Bridgett said 'Where's allan ? " katrin said '' don't know...'. Lindsey and Kenton showed up.' Lindsey said'where's allan' Bridgett said ' we're not sure...' he was now about 45 minutes late.( this is about the point that the topic of 'hairspray and hot latex' came up...but you really had to be there to understand, or at least see the look on kenton's face when it came up...) we stood around for awhile longer, discussing things fruvous, thankful to have found others who 'got' the fruvous groove, wondering where allan was, debating the various beneifits of moving to various locations, singing fru-melodies and generally being , well, fru-heads. Finally it was decided that one of us should go in and see if allan had beat us there; Katrin was volunteered, and stood in line. she entered , waving her improvised fruvous flag ( a prototype of the hopefully soon to be available 'Pisco Bandito' t-shirt...which is VERY nice, i might add...) She emerged a few minutes later. "Where's Allan..?" we asked. She shrugged her shoulders. Finally, we decided to move on, and jumped on the mall shuttle, where we , of course, felt the need to spread the fruvous gospel, and several fellow passengers responded quite strongly. that is, most of them got off immediatly; some others asked if they could follow us, as we looked as if we knew what we were doing. Frightened, we got off (having to quickly convince Katrin that this was indeed the time to do so...) Once we got to The Market, we found a couple of tables and sat. We spent a couple of the most enjoyable hours; it is generally agreed that fruvous fans are about the coolest people around, even if we are all hopelessly strange... Another theary, to which kat already alluded , but did not finish, was related to the recent discussion on the NG regarding DREAMS ABOUT FRUVOUS... It goes something like this; all the dreams seem to be about the SAFE Frulad, the married one. Well, THAT, we decided is because the dreams people have about him are printable ie ; PG RATED. It was decided that the one everyone's REALLY dreaming about is MURRAY...and what's more, the psychic PR THEORY IS MORE THAN JUST A THEORY...I'll leave the rest to your imagination. Of course, the evening included more singing, including several versions of 'good date band' riffs (BOOM shaka laka and everybody's styling.) All in all, it was a good time. It was generally agreed that Fruvous tends to attract people that reflect the personality of the group; sensitve, intelligent, creative, etc. and Yes, the upcoming trip to Toronto was discussed and plans made to get more info. The Caravan route and dates will , of course be posted later so those along the way wishing to join can catch up. By the way...Allan finally showed up...he paged me just as we were leaving the coffehouse. Toronto or BUST Skip 'hairspray and hot latex...' ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V1 #981 ********************************************
