Inside, he was greeted by a woman. BJ got the impression she cut her own hair and she was flicking matches all over the room. "Seven" she says. "What?" "Seven. I prefer it to hello. It breaks the ice." "Oh Seven" "Match?" Well, I for one cannot possibly be happier that the elections are over. Those Pataki/D'Amato ads were REALLY getting on my nerves! (Kingston is right across the river from Watertown, NY, so we get all kinds of Syracuse tv. We even have the Border, a joint Canadian/American radio station that broadcast the ads NON STOP!) I'm actually really gald that individual candidates aren't allowed to run campaigns like that up here. The worst you'll ever see is Bloc Quebecqois ads telling the world how dumb all of us english speaking federalists are. As for Libertarians, well... I'm not sure exactly what their policies are, 'cause someone started to explain exactly what they were in Grade 10 history class and they were very odd, so I stopped paying attention to them. But as for the question "What is a Progressive Conservative?": it's one of our major political parties - Liberal, Conservative, New Democratic, Bloc Quebecios and Reform. Also called Tories. Mike Harris and company are Tories. Brian Mulroney, too. That in and of itself should explain things. :) Veronica (can you tell I live with two political studies majors?) - -- ***************************************************************************** And in the end | Veronica Gruneberg The love you take | Dept. of Biology Is equal to the love | Queen's University You make... | Kingston, Ontario ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 05 Nov 1998 20:34:30 GMT From: gemini@p3.net (Trace) Subject: Re: *IMPORTANT TOUR UPDATES* On Thu, 05 Nov 1998 14:55:52 GMT, ceelove@ibm.net (Colleen Campbell) wrote: >On Wed, 04 Nov 1998 18:19:24 -0500, Moxy Fruvous >wrote: >>Fri Feb 19 Toronto, ON Lee's Palace >>Sat Feb 20 Toronto, ON Lee's Palace >>Sun Feb 21 Toronto, ON Lee's Palace *5th Annual Fruvous and Friends for >>Choice* > >*erk* > >Guys, I may be out of line in saying this, it may not be my place, but >I'm going to risk it anyway. I am grateful. Thank you Fruvous. I'm also hoping that the change to a larger venue is an indication that the response of interested FruFans of all types (not just the 'net Fruheads) to the FruCon weekend has been large. That would make me feel grateful and tremendously happy for Fruvous. I'm all for intimate venues, but I'm also in favor of as many people enjoying Fruvous as possible. (: after a very brief show, we all ended up going to the space needle (landmark of sorts in seattle) and just wandering around. was quite pleasant. (: none since then tho. next...
