I want to go, but driving all the way from Potsdam alone and back that night would be tough, so I'm looking for a rider or two (up to seven in my big 'ole van) later, tom. ------------------------------ Date: 4 Nov 1998 00:41:05 GMT From: starfox@Bacon.Eggs.And.NOSPAM.nationwide.net (Starfox) Subject: Vat a trip it has been... Rather than give a long, already-said review, I'm just goin to say that it was an AWESOME weekend for me and thank the following people for helping it be so. :) If I've forgotten you, I don't mean to! And I'd just like to add that for those of you thinking to yourself, "Self, there is no need to vote. What difference does it make, really? I mean, I'm not overly fond of the Democratic Candidate (or Republican as the case has every right to be)...who cares?" Well, my theory is, folks, that voting isn't just about your ability to show your true colours and attempt to put someone you believe in into a governmental position of power, but it's also a way to keep CRAZY-PSYCHO-JUDGEMENTAL-WEENIS-HEADS out of office. Kapish? Kapish Pizan, Heather "Vote your ASS off" Moore pee.ess. If you are not registered to vote, git off yer keester and DO IT! Post office, voting booth...ya can git these things ANYWHERE! And you know what? Don't give me that piece 'o' crap excuse that you have no time. That's why we have absentee ballot: no need to go to the polling place, AND there are those cool little punch-out-hole things. So don't gimme any lip and register (I did the DAY I turned 18 so thbbt!). Thank you. And no I will most certainly NOT get off my soapbox about this one. ; ) On Tue, 03 Nov 1998 21:14:50 GMT Srm9988n@aol.com writes: >Hey all of you Americans out there, get thee to a polling place and > > VOTE, DAMMIT! > >Yah, even you over there in the Lazyboy, muttering "it's too >cold...it's >too late...it's too far." > >"It's a constitutional right, can't be refuted." > >but it can be thrown away. > >-- Lori > ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. No, it's a song Mike wrote for his wife, which has only been performed live 3 times (after Friday night's performance, that is). It's an amazing song... There were a few of us crying while he played it (/me blushes remembering that Jian got as far as 'If Only' in announcing the title before she collapsed weeping onto Doug's shoulder). Your best bet to hear it (if you can't get hold of a tape from the Friday performance) is to find someone who has a tape of either the Port Dover show (May 97 (thanks again Zard!)) or the Fredonia show from this past April..
