Fruvous & the Nields are really developing into a mutual admiration society, aren't they (not that it's not deserved!)? However, I think they not only referenced Down From Above with the heels, but I believe when Jian *first* started talking about it he was talking about wearing lots of make-up and I think he was referring to Stuck in the 90's. Anyway, that's what I think. Oh, and I also think that maybe I just delurked for a while. And *maybe* I should do it more often, eh? (Think of Friday's show if this doesn't make sense > to you) Seven? Let me think. The only symbolistic images I have of "seven" are soemthing to do with the ancient Christian church, but that's not my own, it's a lit professors who tried to convince me I needed to come back and re-take his class when I was no longer Jewish. And the other is the movie Seven, starring Brad Pitt and the seven deadly sins. Perhaps it's all the same image. But what does this have to do with fruvous? At least if you'd said 42 I could say yes, Fruvous is the question of the universe. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Nov 1998 22:15:28 GMT From: McCown Subject: Re: alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V1 #906-907 Lori said: > Okay y'all, in the lunatic spirit of this manic-depressive weekend, > I shall answer *all* of your posts in one swell foop. My dad and I got lost driving around Medford Lakes, NJ on Saturday, and ended up listening to our Commitments tape twice thru before we got where we were going. It was actually pretty fun, because we were both singing along quite loudly. > >To everyone - have a great Halloween, wherever you are............... I'll > >be here wishing I were elsewhere........... sniff, sob, sniff.......... Yes, you lucky NoHo people. I'm glad you all had fun. Really. But I am also insanely jealous. I spent most of my weekend working on the religion project from hell (okay, that sounds weird, but it's really true). Actually, my friend Erin and I went to my friend Katie's on Saturday night to sleep over, and by Sunday, Erin (who normally listens to 2Pac, and people like that) was going to go on a quest to buy Dar Williams' "Mortal City" and was begging me to make her a tape of all Fruvous stuff. It was pretty exciting for me because she is one of the last people I thought I could convert. > >There was a couple in the audience and the guy wanted to > >propose marriage to his girlfriend.
