Are they anything like the Smashing Pumpkins? I really think it's much kinder to dispatch them with a quick knifely circumnavigation of the cranium, disconnecting all the um, neural fibers with one surgical motion. Smashing is quite crude and can result in a protracted and painful death. (It's also harder to clean up the evidence, or make a presentable centerpiece therewith.) There is really only one place you HAVE to go when visiting the Valley: ANTONIO'S PIZZA (in Amherst Center) If anyone's up for hiking on Saturday, I highly recommend the Robert Frost Trail off Amethyst Brook (Main St. heading toward Pelham) in Amherst. Walk up the trail and hang to the left once you cross the first foot bridge (follow the orange markings). About 1/2 into the hike, you'll need to hang a left near the old 50s car. This is easy to miss... Your destination is Mt. Orient... it's beautiful and you can see all of Amherst. Thorne's (a old factory-converted-mall) in Northampton Center has a nice soup place on the Main (2nd) floor. Let's see... what else? If you like Indian Food, "India House" on State St. (not the lame on Main St.) in Northampton has the best Masala I've EVER tasted -- so creamy. OK... that's it for now... see y'all in a day or so.... - -- . Qapla', . ' John Greene - Software Specialist . * . I was going to just post the "NoHo must-see" message that I said I would (I know it's getting late), but see next message for that. Here's the deal... 'cause I know many of you are new to the newsgroup. Whenever yeP! gigs (I'm the keyboardist), I wear my Flyers jersey (which happens to be a "home" (i.e. white) Lindros Jersey) -- I'm probably going to get a "third" (i.e. black) LeClair Jersey next time I go home, but that's besdies the point. Anyway, in '96/'97, yeP! and Fruvous did a few gigs together and I always wore my Flyers jersey. Jian doesn't like Eric Lindros very much... I'll leave all you crazy speculating-types to speculate as to why... or just ask him. He loves to talk about big #88 ;) Mike and Jian are both hockey fans, but Dave could care less. One Iron Horse show, I hung up my Flyers jersey on the big box to the side of stage left (so that they could see it)... When they came back for encore, Dave put the jersey on. This was funny for a whole bunch of reasons. Anyway... there ya go.... Hey T -- I'm going to TOR@PHI on 11/27, are you? - -- . Qapla', . ' John Greene - Software Specialist . * .
