That's the second thing I thought when I saw this topic. The first thing I thought is a sign that I'm truly a geek, because it was a Perl pun: "Would this mean that the taper who gets to hook up to the soundboard has the patch pumpkin?" In fact, she so dislikes them that she refused to accompany me to the Bloomington show, and she even lives there. I find it very strange, because I introduced her to the Barenaked Ladies and They Might Be Giants, and she loves them both. I know, I know, the three bands are not interchangeable, but it seems to me that there is a lot of crossover among the fans. She is a strange girl :-) On the positive side, however, I introduced Fruvous to my friend in Champaign when they played there a few weeks ago, and she is now a big fan. In fact, we are thinking about heading to Toronto in February. > Coming out of lurkerdom (briefly) to add my 2 cents, Jennifer *****Jennifer K. Maybe they are planning something else entirely. Maybe they are trying to mislead us and *really* surprise us. Maybe I've just been watching the X-Files too much. - -- chad@ radix.net ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Oct 1998 21:08:06 -0500 From: jerry smith Subject: Re: Do you know the way to #moxyfruvous la la la la la (was Re: P W wrote: > In article , "Demetriou, says... > > > >On Wednesday, October 28, 1998 4:27 PM, Adam Hartfield > >[SMTP:adamh@javanet.com] wrote: > >> Contrary to popular belief, yes, I *do* leave the channel from time to > >time. > >> :) > > > >Shuh, right! :-P > > Adamh does sometimes leave the channel. No screaming, but a friend of mine made this really good pumpkin - -coconut soup thing. (He says that it is an Indonesian recipe.) (Actually, I wasn't there when he made it, so I don't know about any screaming, but the pumpkin chunks were pretty quiet by the time it was done.) I guess that makes me some sort of vegetable cannibal. Or something like that. - -- chad@ radix.net ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V1 #891 ********************************************
