Hey Josh, From the sound of it, there will be several tapers at these shows, so I doubt they'll go unrecorded. If you do bring a friend's deck, feel free to ask to patch out: CMC64>MV100>DAP1 See you guys at the shows. - - Jason jreiser@ecoutez.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Oct 1998 01:08:59 -0500 From: Jeff Michael Subject: Failed conversions? My calculator couldn't!" Well, I'm taking a massage class, and in the second class, we're all standing in a circle holding hands to warm up, and we do some visualization. The first thing we're supposed to do is visualize a basket over in the corner. Well, of course I start cracking up (those of you who were in Louisville know why!), and thinking "I'm having trouble visualizing the basket." Heehee!! Well, then, last week, we start talking about how to communicate our needs and preferences, and the teacher pulls out a chart of sentences with blanks reading "When you ______, I _______." Then she starts talking about making "I statements" - hee!! Of course I start imagining everything she's saying in the interrogative? You know, like I'm in drama class? Just buy 800 or 1000 film, and tape over that auto-flash. You can still see something even with normal film, so the pix shouldn't come out bad with higher film. And it's really not worth spoiling a great mood by pissing the guys off with lots of flashes... (now if you were to be wearing a raincoat, maybe...) - -Zard From a contest in the Wash. Hmm I wouldn't say this was a totally failed conversion, but a friend of a friend who had never heard anything by the band went to a Chicago show last year. He said he wasn't crazy about most of the show but really enjoyed a few songs and proceeded to name all the songs off wood that were played. I was floored - most new converts I've seen are drawn to King of Spain, BJ, Green Eggs, and the likes and eventually grow to love the slow stuff... jordan - -- B: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
