I think I'd be...well, my first thought was a dumbek but that could be painful. So perhaps a crawfish claw. My best guess is that you wouldn't be driving to Rochester via Kingston/Watertown/Syracuse, huh? 'Cause I'm definately interested in getting a ride, but I go to school about 30 minutes from Cornwall (1 hour NE of Watertown). It would be easy for me to met someone along Rt 81 for the trip. Just have to figure out a way to get back (like I've ever cared about the return trip until after the concert). later, tom. I went to hear a local a cappella group, Soundstage 7, last week--they're fairly good, if a bit limited in terms of harmonies. They do best with pre-arranged work, I think, like "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and "Zombie Jamboree"--and a decent rendition of "Lazy Boy." Other than yeP!'s "King of Spain," it's the only time I've ever heard a Fruvous song covered in entirety (and by that, I mean an original, not just one they cover well). Has anyone else, ever? Has Da Vinci's Notebook? Soundstage 7 has actually recorded it, for what it's worth. I'd heard them do it before, and apparently made a rather memorably loud squeak (Zard: "Operator"!) upon recognizing it. So I was especially tweaked this time when Greg, the lead on the song, dedicated it to "Colleen, a girl with a lot of moxie!" (and to penicillin, as he was recovering from strep). *grin* Probably the only time in my life I'll have a Fruvous song dedicated to me. . . ceecee ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 Oct 1998 10:14:23 GMT From: jkpolk@ntplx.net (Andrea Krause) Subject: Re: Frv-O-Lantern On Tue, 27 Oct 1998 05:16:36 GMT, nicole.the.wonder.nerd.is@ana.ng.at.tmbg.org (Nicole the Wonder Nerd) wrote: >On Mon, 26 Oct 1998 01:28:30 GMT, the sky opened up and >jkpolk@ntplx.net (Andrea Krause) spake thusly: >> Well, if anyone wants to see how exceedingly pathetic we are, >>here's a link to my web page where we've uploaded pictures of the >>pumpkin Paul and I carved this weekend.
