Hi, I've asked before, but I think I'll try again. Does anyone have a FULL recording of the WXPN show from this past summer? I have the part that was broadcast, I want the rest for a friend that was at the show. Anyone have audience or soundboard of this? You might want put a piece of electrical tape over the flash then. Or even tape a piece of exposed film or something over the flash. Admittedly this might not be the best thing for your photography, but at least you won't blind the band. I mean, it's only fair... they don't come to where you work and shoot bright lights in your eyes. - - Jason jreiser@ecoutez.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 22 Oct 1998 13:50:07 GMT From: cricket5@hotmail.com Subject: Re: Help for New Years Eve show?? > What info can you give me about the Bottom Line?? The Bottom Line is located at: 15 W. 4th Street 1-212-228-6300 This is right by NYU / Washington Square - one of my favorite areas of the city. As for ordering tickets, you probably should just call the venue itself. Tickets aren't on sale yet, but you can probably call whenever Jude adds it to the tour schedule - because when she does that, it means all the details have been worked out and contracts are signed. > > eg, address (i have a phone #... but, long distance, i'd rather not call > more than absolutely necessary), best way to go about ordering tix > (ticketmaster? or straight from the venue? and when do they go on sale, > anyway?), and perhaps even recommendations for a friendly, hospitable hotel > that's not too far away from the club?? > As for hotels, I'm lucky enough to have a friend in a Broadway show (go see "Christmas from the Heart"), it's not really an issue for me; but there's a online order site that offers prices and all at: http://www.180096hotel.com/cgi-bin/pickinput_II.pl?SID=HRN&Dest=NYC Just remember, if you're considering this trip, that it is New York City on New Year's Eve. Hotels are getting booked *fast*. If something comes up, you can always cancel your reservation. I accidentally took a flash picture at a show (rule #1: learn how to use your device). A nice gentleman who worked for the club showed up promptly and took my camera away. As if I wasn't horrified enough to have "flashed" from the front row! I couldn't even take any more pictures. So, protect yourself *and* the guys - no flash!! Melanie It's a *great* picture, by the way! :-) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 22 Oct 1998 08:47:47 -0500 From: Chad Maloney Subject: Re: February Warm Up hKatherine@ehmail.com wrote: > > In article <70llng$ve7$1@nnrp1.dejanews.com>, > Marie.Claude@canada.com wrote: > > > "It's a C!! I was standing right behind him... singing. ;) How about some context for that? Do other people just really really want to tell Murray the changes when Dave or Mike is improving with the guitar pointing the other direction, or is that just me? - Chad ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 22 Oct 1998 15:17:47 GMT From: boals@bme.ri.ccf.org Subject: Bottom Line Records Hi all, I've been lurking for quite some time, but thought I'd speak up now. I live in Cleveland, OH and have been trying (half-heartedly) to get Live Noise since it came out. I remember last year, walking into Borders, ready to buy every Fruvous album available after seeing my first show, only to be disappointed to find... nothing. So last night I went to the same Borders (after calling first this time) and they had all the CDs. They even had 'b'! So I just wanted to say that I think the move to Bottom Line Records was a good one. They're obviously doing a good job. Anybody going to the 11/4 show here? Let me know if you are. Also, what's the scoop on soundboard feeds? Talk to Cal? Are they even allowed? I'm assuming they are since I've traded a couple of you for some quality-sounding shows. I just want to be able to re-live the show because I always forget all the antics the next day.
