Have I mentioned what a nice, open, and inclusive bunch of people this is? It really is amazing, especially compared to some of the other ngs I've been reading, where there's bickering and flaming beyond belief. (As opposed to here, where it's just silliness and good-natured bantering!) Anyway, I appreciate it -- and I'm going to try like hell to get to Delaware for that show, since it's the best shot I'll have at seeing Fruvous live for a while. - -- amy (one of the Phillyfrus) - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - ---- "maybe you don't like your job, maybe you didn't get enough sleep; well, nobody likes their job, nobody got enough sleep" --Ani DiFranco - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - ---- Srm9988n@aol.com wrote in article ... > > Amy said: > > >So, er, um, hey guys, if I can't find a "date" for the show, and I show up > >>all by myself (how pathetic -- no frufriends around here), will y'all be > > >kind to a new face? Okay, people, whining for 18+ shows does in fact work. Apparently the reason the Minneapolis show was at the quest instead of at the Fine Line was because the quest would do an 18+ show, and "all of you 18-20 year old whiners" (hehehe) had written, called, and sent email bugging them about it. And also, I believe, suggested an alternate venue. :) Very important. If they're having a 21+ show in your area and it bugs you, do some research and find out where they *could* play instead. Also, the quest is a gorgeous club. :) I'd never been there before, and it was really cool. We even managed to find close parking, despite the thousands of Garth Brooks fans at the target center four blocks down. (Garth sold out NINE shows here in Minneapolis. I'm so ashamed. ;) betsy. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 09 Oct 1998 12:17:01 -0400 From: Thomas Fazzio Subject: Re: I will hold on My server must have missed the post of the lyrics to 'I Will Hold On', could it be re-posted for me please? Since the songs that the guys are singing right now as previews of coming attractions are not, for all practical purposes, finished, they may be subject to change. In fact, reading parts of reviews proved that they're undergoing a little change here and there (imagine the rhumba version of fly before the wood version (: ). On other newsgroups, band members have posted saying something to the effect of "we don't want our unfinished songs posted publically because, well, they're unfinished, and there are all sorts of legal implications involved in that as well" ... Nobody has posted about that here yet, but I was wondering if that is something that we should be doing? I know it's frowned on in other ng's, but I don't know ya'll very well yet and I'm not familiar with all the rules here. (: If an expert could please step forward and yank the soap box out from under me, I really don't like all this public speaking stuff. *grin* Throwing in the $0.02, -= norg =- ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 9 Oct 1998 12:37:03 -0400 From: "jafu" Subject: Re: Nov 11/Baltimore info hopefully i will be there missed the free show at the columbia arts thingy cause i was dragged off to eat at olive garden which was packed will be my first show recent MF convert blah blah blah. - -jafu Chad Schrock wrote in message <361D514C.D0E0F7BA@radix.net>... >Well, with the tickets to NoHo selling out and the tickets to the >Wilmington show selling fast, I figured that now was a good time >to get tickets to the upcoming show in Baltimore (yaaay!). > >Anyway, they are playing at a club called "The Vault."
