It's on the web at http://www.illinimedia.com/buzz/moxy.html The article also says that "Michael Wood, is soon to be releasing the 'Moxy Fruvous vs. Michigan Militia' comic book." Did I hear the movie "Freaked" mentioned? =D If you notice, I use one of the quotes from the movie in my sig. :) It's hysterical (but weird -- stars Randy Quaid, Alex Winter, Brooke Shields, Michael Stoyanov and Megan Ward). There is actually a website for the film. Had dinner at the mexican place on the corner of Folsom and 11th, pretty good grub and then walked back to stand in a one-person line (aka: me!) and wait. Eventually, I walked around the building just to see what it was like and met Toby the Roadie...way cool, Toby! At first I wasn't too thrilled with them, but they did have a couple decent songs. I didn't know what a Chapman stick was (other than Chap Stick which is no relation) but it looked uncomfortable to play! > They (finally) stopped, there was a break (during which I staked out a > place front¢er, and randomly met Larry a.k.a GaritRN), and then Hmm, I was probably about three people to the left of you...I was like, right in front of that pole, but still saw everyone okay. :) > Love Potion #9 medley (someone whose music knowledge is better than mine > can name the songs... Right at the end I think I heard Mike chant "The Beautiful People, The Beautiful People" a couple times. And then later they were making cracks at Third-Eye Blind and started half-covering Semisonic's "Closing Time." Oh, oh, and earlier in the set they started improving into BTO's "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet!" > So it was great to see everyone, and let's do it again NEXT TIME! Next time I'd actually like to meet everyone, but I do think I met Doug Levy while in line. I was the chubby blonde guy in the black Moxy tee with the VW garage shirt. Maybe it was in earlier life. I remember poking around some FruPages once, a while ago, and coming across a FruCookbook. There was some sort of peanut butter pizza and this most excellent thing involving brie and cranberries. I tried the brie & cranberries, and it turned out really good. Even the people that I made it for really liked it. I don't remember who put up the pages or anything. Just a slight tangent on the information superhypeway one evening. - -- chad@ radix.net ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V1 #707 ********************************************
