This is my first post (so please be gentle!). I'm completely psyched to be going to the Northampton show on October 31st with my best friend (a fru-virgin). But the thing we'd both really like to know is: is anyone dressing up for Halloween? We both want to, but we don't want to be the only ones dressed up! Thanks in advance, Melanie S. msul4828@postoffice.uri.edu ------------------------------ Date: 1 Oct 1998 17:11:38 GMT From: blinerecs@aol.com (BLineRecs) Subject: Medeski Martin & Wood - was Re: San Francisco review! If they get near you and you enjoy groovy jazz, go! I do enjoy groovy jazz, and they got near me! Actually, I got near them as they taped for PBS' "Sessions at West 54th." Their show will be on PBS the weekend of October 24-25, and they appear in the same show as Holly Cole. I may show up on TV as I was in the second row (and I'm almost one Chad tall) right behind the DJ, on whom a camera was trained the entire time. Fruvous connection? ummm, well, PBS is like a tv NPR, and that was the day Moxy taped All Things Considered for NPR. i know, lame.... "Of course, immediately, right away" said I. She reports, however, that the IH is sold out for the Halloween show, but that she got tickets for 10/30. SO: Anyone have a ticket up for grabs for 10/31? - --Adam adam.hartfield@dev.artioslink.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 01 Oct 1998 17:52:18 GMT From: crabpuff@canada.com Subject: Re: Frudegreens > Actually, I never understood "between poles." It says "pulls" in the Bargainville liner, but I'm pretty sure I heard/saw "poles" elsewhere... - -- Marie-Claude "I'm beside myself. I love Warren! Albeit Ethan Embry (the guy who played Marc--or was it with a k....I never remember that) is my favorite, Brendon Sexton is cool, too. Maybe I was wrong. In any case, is it a mondegreen if you unwittingly correct someone else's mistake? :-) In the not-quite-mondegreen category, I had to read the Web site lyrics to figure out "trail of aching derrieres" in "Kick in the Ass." It had always sounded to me like just one word, "tralovachen," and I had no idea what that was supposed to refer to. - -- "I wish EVERY day could be a shearing festival!" -- The 10 Commandments =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ Keith Ammann is geenius@albany.net "I notice you have a cloud of doom.
