It doesn't work quite as well as Mike Ford's Ford, Jian's Neon, etc. but... *Hrumph* Fine. My friend Chad (the nifty IT dude in my office) was reading over my shoulder one afternoon at the height of the [Cc]had posts and he got quite confused by it all. He also got quite a kick out of it although he has looked at me a little bit strangely since then. something about who I choose to associate myself with. > Let me tell you about all of the people named Chris, Mike, > and Steve. If your own mother can't recognize you, then how can we know it is actually you? loren. who apologizes for the lack of fruvous content in this here post. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 28 Sep 1998 22:01:51 GMT From: vika@ibm.net (Vika Zafrin) Subject: Re: What would you make....? I sez: >> Well, Jian *was* a vegetarian.... until he ate seven perch (small >> fish) in one day. :D And then hKath sez: >...Not...enough.......information...._*gasp*_..... This came up a couple of months ago, I think. At a 5/97 Port Dover show, the boys were doing solos, opening for themselves. Jian comes out and relates the story of that night's dinner. He decided to try perch, the specialty of the restaurant they went to, and went for the 7-oz option. Little did he know that each perch weighs only one ounce! So he composed this little ditty: "Who the hell is eating all the perch? Don't they know it goes against good wishes? If I find that... bastard person... in my search, I'll kill them, cuz I've got a new... predilection... for the fishes." :) That is my single favorite Fruvous anecdote. I don't know if anyone has suggested this yet, but why don't we compile a recipe book? I don't know the cheapest way of going about this in terms of printing cost, but I'm sure I can find out. We could organise it by Frufan/Fruhead (whichever label you prefer), include a short bio on the person, and follow that up with the menu and recipes. There could be an index of recipes in the back organised alphabetically under a series of categories (soups, main courses [fish, poultry, meat, veggie], desserts) so that the book could actually be useful to a cook in search of a recipe (as opposed to a meal). As for a cover... Y'think Mike would draw us a chef-like budgie dog? ;) Just a thought. Let me know if you are interested.
