Ah, but I only said that it proved the existence of the [Cc]hads. Never said how many of us there were. ;) > loren. > who know way too many people named chad these days. it's very > confusing but at least none of the others are quite so tall... Let me tell you about all of the people named Chris, Mike, and Steve. Oy. People!!! Be original with what you name your children! Thank you. Anyway, I showed the picture to my mother (an original "Chad's Mom"(tm)). She didn't recognize me. (And I think it is a pretty good picture of me, too.) I think it is the increasing distance between the different planets that we live on. - -- chad@ radix.net ------------------------------ Date: 28 Sep 1998 00:30:17 GMT From: cassiel104@aol.com (Cassiel104) Subject: In search of bootlegs Hey kids.. Well, they played it at the Ramshead in Annapolis, but that and King of Prussia were the only times I've ever heard it. Unless they played it in Canada back in Bargainville (or pre) days, I don't think it's ever been in heavy rotation. Maybe just one they trotted out for a few shows 'cause they were in the mood.. - -Zard "www.washme.com" - seen on the back window of a filthy station wagon, heading to Owen Sound, ON ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 27 Sep 1998 21:21:49 -0400 From: "^kat^" Subject: Re: What would you make....? >So I was wondering, if you had the guys over for dinner one night, what would >you cook for them? hmm... well, being that i have a retiree father who monopolizes the cooking of our entrees, i don't get a chance to try out my main-dish skills very often. but a few weeks ago, i made this vegetarian, saffron-ricotta & eggplant (vika!) dish that took 3 hours (!) to prepare, but was definitely worth it when it was made. so, after a salad (our family's big on salads) we'd have the eggplant dish w/ angel-hair pasta, and... hmm, dessert. i *am* an expert at desserts, so i think i'd have white chocolate (attn jian!) mousse to finish off the meal. mmm... i'm hungry now. :) ^kat^ "nature provides for us a safety net -- whatever we do, we can never forget . . ." ------------------------------ Date: 28 Sep 1998 01:27:42 GMT From: zardsnod@aol.com (ZardSnod) Subject: Re: What would you make....? jsmooth wrote: >So I was wondering, if you had the guys over for dinner one night, what would >you cook for them? Well, it depends... probably something homey and simple - not icky and greasy like to much of the stuff you get on the road. Perhaps pasta with an interesting, zesty tomato sauce, and a good salad, all washed down with a yummy California cabernet. Ice cream for dessert, if there's room. If I had time to prepare, probably something like this great pepper, potato, tomato, and eggplant gratin (w/cheese and herbs) that's wonderful but takes a while. Barbecued chicken, corn on the cob, my new homemade applesauce recipie? I dunno... Just fresh and yummy. All I know is that when I go on Frutrips, I never feel like I eat right, so something healthy but good. - -Zard "www.washme.com" - seen on the back window of a filthy station wagon, heading to Owen Sound, ON ------------------------------ Date: 28 Sep 1998 01:21:17 GMT From: zardsnod@aol.com (ZardSnod) Subject: Re: Vancouver Sept.24 >- jenn >(who currently has "Shoehorn With Teeth" stuck in her head... and images from >The Smirking Gherkin of Fruvous posing with Bendy.... :) Yay!! And, just to fill you ALL in, now that it's official (stop reading now if you're not interested in DaVinci's Notebook information): I attended their "Goodbye to Paul (moving to Southern Cal w/wife) and Hello to the New Guy" show in Reston, VA last night. It was the best show I've seen them do, and, including intermiss. it was about 2 hours long - whee!! Great mix of old, new, borrowed, and blue songs. After the intermission was the set for the debut of the new guy. VERY happy surprise - PAUL himself is the new guy!! It turned out it was just too darned expensive to find safe housing in the south of LA area, so he and his fam. are sticking around!! Whee! They were joking because last year, Rich almost went to grad school on the West Coast, but ended up staying, this year it was Paul, and they were saying that next year was Storm's chance to fake a departure. In any case, they'll stay the same DaVinci's Notebook you know and love!! I recently moved to the Boston area and have no car up here. I realize that this is in essense a "me-too post", but is there anyone trecking from or through Boston who could help me get to Northampton? I will pay for gas and shower you with copies of fru-boots! Plus I'll be forever in your debt :-) Also, I hope to record the Paradise show; if it comes out well then free dubs for all w/ shipping and handling. Thanks a lot!
