I've never had spruce beer, but I have had birch beer (Thanks to 5 years in New England) and frankly the only way I know to describe Birch Beer is that it tastes exactly like Pepto Bismol (if Pepto Bismol were a soda). I imagine that spruce beer probably has that evergreen taste rather than a pepto bismol-y taste. They may be made roughly the same way, but different trees make different sodas. Iota selling out, quite a strange concept to me, just goes to show how fast our little club is growing! And in case you aren't familiar with the club, they don't sell tickets so if you get there too late, you might be out of luck (this could be me - ugh!). Hope to see you there! (Maybe, but that is not the point!) Well, for that matter, it's entirely possible. I could swear sometimes that my mother and I have different color senses. It's subtle, and maybe it's categorization instead of actual vision differences, but still -- things she calls green I'll think are blue, certain purples I see she calls blue, etc, etc. It's just a few shades off, but enough to throw me. So you never know. Actually the `This is a dead server, man' quote is a misquote of comedian Eddie Izzard, and if you love Monty Python you'll adore him. Highly recommended, get Unrepeatable on video if its available over there. My server seems to be alive again now, I suspect someone embalmed it with Worcester Sauce. Martyr's is on Lincoln Ave., just south of Irving Park Road. Want directions? Easy: If you're at O'Hare, travel I-90 east (which is actually south) to Irving Park Road, take a left at the *second* light off the exit. Drive several miles to a big 6-way intersection (Irving Park, Lincoln, and Damen). Damen is at 2000 west, so you can follow the addresses. Make a 135-degree right turn onto Lincoln (not a 90-degree right onto Damen). Martyr's is a few blocks down on the left, 3800-something. >3. Suggestions for a good (cheap) place to stay?
