But the whole show really, really bugged me. I've never really been a fan of Ralph Benmergui (ie the ill-fated Ralph Benmergui Show... what was CBC thinking?!) and the way he kept cutting all of the pannelists off to give his opinion of the way things are really bothered me. Honestly, I don't even know why he bothered having guests... he probably would have been happier with just an hour of himself talking. But in between all the cutting off, I though Jian did a really good job! :) I was even ahppier when I caught it in repeats last night! :) Veronica - -- ***************************************************************************** And in the end | Veronica Gruneberg The love you take | Dept. of Biology Is equal to the love | Queen's University You make... | Kingston, Ontario ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 14 Sep 1998 16:51:54 GMT From: Loren Becker Subject: Re: **ITINERARY** > > Mon Nov 9 Baltimore, MD The Vault > > > /me does a happy dance about the room. me too, me too! and here i didn't even look because i figured it wasn't possible. can i catch a ride up with someone from d.c. loren...the moocher. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 14 Sep 1998 13:01:58 -0400 From: "A.J. I agree that it does (I've always thought that), but I don't think that is intentional. I think it is just a combination of Jian's slightly nasal voice with the very odd tones of the police dispatcher microphone they used to record that. I was actually surprised that it was an article *about* Jian and not *by* Jian. Very insightful though. - -- Marie-Claude (pka Ingrid) "I'm 34. They did it at Lee's Palace, and I remember Ingrid & I bumping into you (literally) there. They didn't do the sunglasses, though. hKath - -- This is my signature. It's just about halfway done now. Perhaps it's prepared the same way, but I doubt it tastes the same. Although I can't vouch for that 100%... I've never actually TASTED birch OR spruce in its original tree form. But spruce beer IS a *pop*, so they're probably very similar. hKate - -- This is my signature. It's just about halfway done now. There.
