Imagine... the Luxor show was my cousin's *first* früvous show... (been awhile, 4 yrs if I look at the second hand..). I don't know what it was but they were not all that good. They played something that my friend Jim and I dubbed "ode to the fish" and most of their stuff sounded amazingly similar. But then again, I was kind of distracted by the high number of people that would shift crowd positions infront of us (seems to happen a lot in outdoor venues). That's my favorite variation. That's where you can put down whatever letters you want and it is valid as long as you can convince the other people playing that you can pronounce it like a real word. Things like: kwikli (quickly) prablim (problem) noc (knock) uth (youth) And of course it gets as wild as you can imagine once people get the hang of things and realize the potential of the X. You know, this is my second post about scrabble on the ng in two entirely different threads. Well, Kym, this is actually a really easy question now that Live Noise is out. Live Noise is hands-down the bestest for new people because it has the setup of a live show. It has tunes recorded live so you can get a feel for how incredible the Frulads are on stage. It has banter from between songs like an actual show. Live Noise is the about the closest you can get to seeing a show without seeing a show really. And of course, Track 21 calls you a loser. How can you not enjoy that? Of course hearing Live Noise is still nothing compared to seeing a show. > Kym, going to the Halloween show in Noho. Yay. And that'll definitely be a great show to see. I guess it would be because the have many differeny styles of music, they can play and all of the have talent...something that is lacking in many popular bands these days. I first got into Fruvous because a friend I had met in school said they played the best live show he's ever been to.
