Subject: a newbie

Hi guys,

I'm new to this list but I like it already.  I have to admit that I
don't even own one Moxy Fruvous CD.  It's sad but true.  A friend of
mine taped a few songs for me from a live CD he had. I think it was the
Mountain Stage.  Anyway, in your opinion, what is the first CD I should
buy?  I'm sure I'll buy them all at some point so this is just for
starters.

Hey all,

	Just a pointer (because this is so funny. It's talking
about the American Space Shuttle with the Canadian Built
Arm) to something you guys might enjoy. There's an archive
of This American Life, a public radio show with host
Ira Glass that tells a bunch of stories and is really good,
at http://www.kcrw.org/c/tamlife/tamlisten.html. There's
a show called "Who's Canadian?" near the top. It's pretty
enjoyable if you have RealAudio...

Actually, the uncut version is the only one I have.  I got it after the TV
version came on, although I didn't really watch it. The storyline was
interesting so I bought the uncut version! :)  VERY glad I did.....

WNEW in New York used to make a tradition of playing "Alice's Restaurant" on
Thanksgiving every year; I think a few other stations do so as well (part of
the story takes place Thanksgiving).  

A couple months ago I was pleasantly surprised when, in a meeting with the
controller at one of our affiliated companies, the controller tried bringing up
something on his computer and as we waited he commented "we're just sittin'
here waiting for it to come around again on the guitar."
