I saw that, too, but I think it was "Fire in the Kitchen"... anyway, I'm as clueless as you are. Maybe they're releasing the US greatest hits album under this name in Canada. That's what I figured when I saw it. hKath, who has joined the ennemy by putting her 2 cents in about GBS - -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/rg_mkgrp.xp Create Your Own Free Member Forum ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 11 Sep 1998 14:33:41 GMT From: ingrid@ehmail.com Subject: Re: A question for all... > if I NEVER hear Kick in the Ass again, I'll be > SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! > That song was okay, the first time.... it's just gotten worse and > worse.... now it's completely intolerable... > :( > (And yes, that's the only frusong I can say that about....) > > nate > My god, why so bitter? How many times did you *hear* Kick In The Ass live?? Note that I'm not saying that you can't be sick of a song. I myself would be pretty happy without Grunge of Spain... HOWEVER, I'd _*LOVE*_ it if they did that slow version of Authors they did at the Tralf in '94... That was SO good (hint, hint). And I'd like to point out, for those interest, that I think the early version of Fly (the one I have on that Tralf/'94 tape anyway) sounds _unbelievably_ like a Beau Dommage song. It's the way they end the chorus. Amazing. Would Jian be a closet Beau Dommage fan??? - -- Ingrid ingrid@ehmail.com "I'm 34. Hi Kym, welcome to the group! There's a cooler in the back; help yourself. :) For starters, I'd recommend either their first album, _Bargainville_, or their latest, _Live Noise_. Live Noise is a live album, and a pretty good representation of a Fruvous show. Bargainville is a polished studio recording. Either should give you a better idea what Fruvous is all about. Have fun! - --nicole the wonder nerd who went to a *very* good TMBG show last night and is stoked... they played "She's An Angel"! "Hello sir, we are taking a survey on the use of water in your home. It is one of the most fundamental elements that we make use of on an every day basis. Costs are increasing and we would like to know your opinion on some things. Do you have a moment?" "Yes, I use water. I bathe in it every day. *click*" that sorta thing. and a sister who always leaves a drop of milk in the jug ... or the jerk at the airport who dropped my suitcase with a computer in it, etc. and i love their singing in it. i think that's the song that got me BACK into them after a while of being mostly unaware of what was happening (being in the states on the west coast sucks sometimes d: ) intolerable? hmm. I fear this is getting all very worrying. Are you two sure you want to meet up? I think you may cancel each other out if you get too close. Either that or combine together to form a Double Chad. A sort of CChhaadd. Or possibly form a super dense Chad, whose gravitational pull is so strong that once a (hypothetical) space ship passes your Chad horizon then it can never escape. Or you'll maybe collapse in on yourselves and form a point in space with no area but infinite Chadness - -- a Chadularity. Did someone say the signal to noise ratio was dropping off on this ng? Well there's some more noise for you. :) Chad chad Richard - ------------------------------------------ - -- Chadler, just go and ask her out. - -- No. - -- What's the worst thing that chad happen? - -- I might chad. - ------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 11 Sep 1998 13:57:46 GMT From: bchavez@rippe.com Subject: Update on NKU - Cincinnati Concert Just ordered my tickets for the fruvous concert and found some info which contradicts some earlier info I posted First - Unlike what I was told earlier, Seating IS *reserved*. They haven't actually assigned seat numbers yet, although they will by Mon morning at the latest. What this means to me is that I have to get my friends who were thinking of going as well to call in their orders and ask to be seated with me. After Monday, people will have to call in their order at the same time. Sorry for the misunderstanding, A very reliable DJ there told me it was general admission. Next, the doors open at 8, Moxie is supposed to be on stage by 9. No warm up group. However WNKU is sponsoring a CD release party from 6 to 8 (I'm not sure where, but certainly nearby) with snacks and music by a very talented local musician named Roger Klug. The CD is another fund raiser for the radio station and includes a mix of songs by artists that the station plays - i.e. artists that most people don't know - yet. Roger Klug himself released a CD last year that I would guess most fru fans would enjoy. I would recommend checking him out. The CD release party is open to the public.
