I'd guess 4 hours, but that is just me guessing. North Indianapolis to Bloomington is an hour, plus the ~3 to Chicago. Indianapolis Traffic isn't bad, but you lose interstate from Indy to Bloomington. Where on earth did these come from and did someone tape them? : : I don't know where the first is from, but the second comes from an : explanation of the meaning of the word Fruvous from some show (don't : remember which exactly, sorry). The first is from the Mel Lastman show in Toronto in August of this year... I forget the exact context, but I do have it on tape (well, CD actually). jordan - -- My inner child can beat up your inner child. ------------------------------ Date: 9 Sep 1998 20:44:36 GMT From: joshw@bgnet.bgsu.edu (Josh Woodward) Subject: Re: Scrabble! It's just like the real game, except that if you can prove that your word is in a Fruvous song (for even more fun, a Fruvous banter!) then you get double points. ;-) - ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Josh Woodward, CheEsy Fru. joshw@mail.bgsu.edu Web Site and Tape List: http://www.dc-adnet.com/joshw/ "Fly Southwest Airlines." -- Moxy Fruvous ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 09 Sep 1998 23:32:27 GMT From: milou65@hotmail.com Subject: Re: So... Hmmm...a as a sort-of newbie (someone's who's known Fruvous for about 3 years, but didn't really get into them until this summer) I can tell you what got me interested in them, but what got me HOOKED into obsession. When I first heard King of Spain, the hilarious lyrics and chordal harmonies caught my attention, and so whenever there was any Fruvous on the radio I listened attentively. But the live experience hooked me. I saw them 2x in one day in Rochester, and by the end of the first concert, I was a Fruvous follower! :) Plus, when I met them after the in-store concert, they were so nice to their fans, never seemed put out. Jian introduced himself, and asked my name, so did Dave, and they all made jokes, and truly loved what they were doing. My favourite song....gosh are you nuts?? :) I could never pick out one particular song. I can't even pick out a favourite album anymore....but my favourite thing about this newsgroup is that we're all so friendly and welcoming of all newbies (me!) and always willing to spread the joy of Fruvous around!! :) - -- pam :) Live life for today before tomorrow is gone... ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 09 Sep 1998 14:16:09 +0100 From: Richard Butterworth Subject: Re: Canadian Cuisine? I have a nasty feeling that I'm not going to like the answer to this, but errm, beaver tails? As in tails of beavers? As in you take a beaver, cut its tail off and eat it? What happens to the rest of the beaver? Or I'm being too literal and we're talking sort of equivalent to Bombay Duck which isn't a duck at all, but a fish? Just out of interest, you understand.
