The lounge singer who >wants to become Ottawa's own Jaymz Bee? nope. I'm talkin about Johny Vegas (sorry, I know I added an extra "n" in his first name earlier), the really cool guy (plus his band. The band is called Johny Vegas) who has opened for Fruvous a couple of times, and Fruvous has sung back-up vocals on his new album. I believe he calls Fredonia or Buffalo his home. I checked his website and it appears to be down. I have not seen the new album in stores yet, so I assume it's not out. Sorry about the confusion. I really got a kick out of Mike's World Cup rhyme from "Minnie" at Penn's Landing this summer. It went something like this: "I know one day the US will show that World Cup spark, But first you'll have to annex France, Brazil, and Denmark!" lol! - -- Trace gemini@p3.net "They're like Robin Williams singing, times 4." -Anonymous comment about Fruvous overheard in the 8th & Market subway station in Philadelphia following the 1998 Singer/Songwriter Festival. ~~I am Fruhead. Great Big Sea is playing a couple of dates in the US soon Daniel I think GBS has released an album in the US... it is kind of a 'greatest hits' album of all their songs that have only been released in Canada. I forget what its called, but oh well. Just look for Great Big Sea down there, and you'll find them. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 09 Sep 1998 16:10:36 -0400 From: duncan@interlog.com (Duncan) Subject: Sunday Walk???
