Although I don't that sponge candy is all that bad (and is absolute heaven... mmmmmmmm); getting closer to when it will be available in Buffalo (I'll have to stock up when I am home). And of course there are always chicken wings, now those don't have any fat in them at all. ;) "wild" Bill - -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/rg_mkgrp.xp Create Your Own Free Member Forum ------------------------------ Date: 9 Sep 1998 04:02:37 GMT From: Revell Sara E <4ser4@qlink.queensu.ca> Subject: Re: Busking Gruneberg Veronica J <6vjg@qlink.queensu.ca> wrote: : The Kingston Busker's Festival usually happens... oh lord, now we're : relying on my memory... But not the fast-food variety that really is dreadful. The kind I like typically comes from sidewalk vendors. One in Ottawa (who also makes awesome "blooming onions") boasts about his wife's gravy recipe and you can watch him cutting the potatoes and frying them up perfectly crispy. Very nice on a cold winter night. I also had to laugh a few weeks ago when one of the tech rags in Silicon Valley referred to poutine as a concoction of french fries with barbecue sauce. Hah! Note the difference in the way a Philadelphian (Kevin) reacts to scrapple vs. a non-Philadelphian. In Philadelphia, people just block out the idea of the ingrediants and chow down. And, yes, it does taste good; but unfortunately, there's no denying that it's made of meat, so no scrapple for me...or cheesesteaks, even. The best I can do in Philly these days is a cheese hoagie. *shrug* But at least the McDonald's on South Street sells cheese fries so there's something to snack on while everyone else gets their beef fix. Welcome to the joyous wonder that is a.m.m-f. :) Glad your here, kick off your shoes, hang your coat in the corner (careful of rob there), and stay awhile. :) As far as any of the FruLads posting, it's not happened since I've been here, and I doubt it will. Of the four, Jian lurks the most (*waves at the dark silloutte in the shadows*), and Murray has(had) been known to lurk from time to time. So while a post is doubtful, do keep in mind that at least one of the FruLads is watching. :) For all your fruvous infomation, check out: www.fruvous.com (aka FDC). It's a wonderful homepage maintained by our friend neighborhood FruHead, webmaster, human microphone, and all around cool guy, Chris O. :) Welcome! - -Starfox "It's early and I haven't had my caffeine, so I a little silly. :)" - -- Starfox starfox (at) nationwide dot net "We each pay a fabulous price, for our visions of paradise." - Rush "Mission" ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V1 #429 ********************************************
