Ludwig Amadeus Mozart (Wolfie's first cousin once removed) was born in 1710 in the village of Neizelheim. Like his younger cousin he grew up to be a composer, however one of far lesser stature. There are only 2 remotely famous works by Ludwig, a symphony in G and a concierto for brass in A. He did compose many other works, some of which are now lost, including a different version of the Magic Flute which he composed in (you guessed it) 1734. Years later, upon seeing his cousin's less-than-memorable work, Wolfgang decide that he could clearly improve on the product, and in 1791 he gave us the the opera we know today today as The Magic Flute. And who says the internet isn't educational? A.J. - -- One of life's tragedies: Given her parentage, Canada could have had American know-how, French culture, and British government. Instead she wound up with British know-how, French Government, and American culture. _____ _ / ____(_) | | _ ___ ___ _ __ ___ | | | |/ __/ _ \ '__/ _ \ | |____| | (_| __/ | | (_) | \_____|_|\___\___|_| \___/ @wwnet.com ICQ#: 13117113 ------------------------------ Date: 7 Sep 1998 19:47:59 GMT From: ourhamster@aol.com (OurHamster) Subject: A Forced Break from the Internet Well all, I sent a similar message out to a bunch of people before, but this time, it's true. By midnight tonight, I will no longer have a computer in my house. This means that I will only access the internet from my cousin's house, and will thus only be able to get on a couple times a week. Also, this address (OurHamster) will die very shortly. AOL/AIM users, feel free to add my other screennames to your lists, NovacScott and NovacFreak. Addresses you can reach me at: jesmore@hotmail.com KingOfPants@juno.com NovacFreak@aol.com These are probably the three I'll be able to check the most. Hope to talk to you all soon! - --Novac "The only substitute for good manners is fast reflexes." ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 07 Sep 1998 21:45:50 GMT From: aeves@alpha.confederationc.on.ca Subject: Re: Very belated intro :) (long!) Except for the lack of a paragraph break it looked fine to me (MSNews). YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!! I may be one of the VERY few people who're THIS excited to go back to school. Granted, it's gonna be very different from what I've been used to - I am a Graduate Student now. On one hand, that means respectability and High Status; on the other hand, I get to be the little slave girl of my department and read, and read, and read..... So I won't be posting nearly as much, now. Only the essentials. But I'll still be lurking, I promise. ObFru: Providence, boys. Providence is a Good Place to Play. Y'all know you love Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel (erm, the best local club, for those who don't know), so come play here. :D ObFru2: my department's administrative secretary, Mona, has heard of Fruvous and can't wait for me to bring their stuff in.
