Or you could all come to great barrington with me... actually, the one thing i will add to this is a caution...the farther west you go, the more expensive it could get. western mass is one big tourist trap and, at least in my experience from living there, prices tend to reflect that. pittsfield is almost as much of a dump as springfield only smaller but the rest of the area really is quite pretty. and don't forget to pack your sweaters, it can also be quite chilly... loren. who is very homesick for the berkshires these days :( BBWMinors@aol.com wrote: > One suggestion re: housing in NoHo ... though it makes sense to look at hotels > in Springfield, it's kind of a dump (no offense to any Springfield-ites who > may read this ng). > > Alternate suggestion: Go west. I ordered a tshirt and Cd back in November of 1997. As of today, Sept 3, 1998. Nothing. I did email Jude (moxy@passport.com) in the beginning of August ( that late only because I didn't want to make a stink ) and she did try to help me out.. but this is kind of discouraging. I dont think I'll be ordering anything else anytime soon ... I dont know what the problem really is but it's enough to make me make a stink... and still nothing. IT's very frustrating... but hey, I love the guys.. that wont change me so easily... setrain http://members.tripod.com/~ellmonster - -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/rg_mkgrp.xp Create Your Own Free Member Forum ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 03 Sep 1998 14:19:16 GMT From: hKatherine@ehmail.com Subject: Re: NoHo no go? Hi all! :) I suppose that I should've done this *before* starting to post, but hey, I never claimed to be logical *g* Most of you know me already through IRC, but here goes: My name is Andrea (aka Drea or Dreea), I'm 27 years old and living in the Fruvous semi-wasteland known as Thunder Bay Ontario. I graduated from Lakehead University in 1995 with my Honours BA (English) and B.Education (Primary/Junior) As most of you know, the early-mid 90's were NOT (and still aren't) a good time to be a teacher in Ontario...so now I'm in second year Accounting at Confederation College. "King of Spain" was my introduction to Fruvous, and caused me to pick up Bargainville in late 93/early 94. That tape also hooked me on "Authors" (which is still pretty much my all-time favourite Fruvous song), "Gulf War Song" (which I *still* haven't heard live *sigh*), and Fruvous in general. I came home from university that summer to discover that they would be playing the Festival of Nations in my hometown of Chatham, which was not only a surprise, but also became the only Fruvous concert that my *entire* family has attended. (I have great memories of that concert, despite having to leave before the end to go to work...especially since Authors was my 'deflowering' song! :>) Fruvous made two more converts in my family that day - my mother and sister (at least until Wood came out...oh well). Since then the concerts unfortunately have been few and far between, at least until I discovered FDC, #moxyfruvous, and Frutripping (thanks again Doug! I still owe you *big time* for Harbourfront!) Somewhere in there I also became a Fruhead and discovered a 'family' of funny, accepting people who made me feel welcome to #moxyfruvous immediately *virtual hugs all!* Where can you find me? Well, at a concert you'll find me stage Murray, just look for the tall redhead bouncing around like a madwoman *g* On #moxyfruvous I can usually be found hiding out from 'techie talk' and wielding the fearsome Accounting Textbook o'Doom (better known as the AToD)when things start getting a little out of hand :)I'm more than willing to offer crash space to fellow Fruheads (my roommates are pretty accomodating) as well as a brief tour of Thunder Bay if desired *g* I suppose that's pretty much it (about time, I know ;>). I apologize for any spelling or grammatical errors, as this is being written after a 2 hr 8am class and I'm still not awake yet *g* See you all at a concert sometime!
