Yeah... and did you not notice the disgusted look of the locals. I was not the proudest frufan that day when fully half of the people there to see Fruvous took on this "I can't believe Fruvous came to this hick town and this hick festival." Frankly I loved that festival and was annoyed by those people who couldn't belittle themselves for a few moments and see more than the fact that Fruvous was playing there. I think the locals were scared to get up and dance because frufans were monopolizing the crowd (and the band). Now tell me again that our behaviour at times like this is just for the music. I have to second this - get tix now, and even if you find you can't go later, it should be easy to unload them here. I'm on a couple of hotel waitlists, and may end up staying in Springfield (I assume as it's a bigger place, they may have hotels available), but hey - we may ALL end up camping on the NoHo green (is there a green in NoHo??). One suggestion re: housing in NoHo ... though it makes sense to look at hotels in Springfield, it's kind of a dump (no offense to any Springfield-ites who may read this ng). Alternate suggestion: Go west. If you're into camping or simply greener pastures, may I suggest checking out places in Greenfield, Mass., Pittsfield or even right over the Vermont border out Routes 47 or 16. It's no more than a half-hour drive, incredibly scenic at this time of year, and loaded with cool spots with cider, maple syrup, etc. There are a ton of little motels along the way. My sense of direction sucks, by the way, so this may actually be north rather than west -- please consult a map, :) Wishing desperately I was going to be there ...
