And by the way, my e-mail address is duncan@interlog.com , not BAKULU@aol.com . Its not that Chad said anything about that, or that anyone else has, its just that I wanted to tell you guys. The scary thing was we weren't half bad. ;) I think the extra-curricular show info would be pretty neat idea for a new section, but it is a lot of extra work for our buddy ChrisO. Personally, I want to hear more about Mike pouncing on the idiot at the Baltimore show. I dunno, I guess I'm alittle torn, its cool to hear all the oddball stories of cars breaking down and porno watching motel managers pre and post shows first hand, but on the otherhand, its sometimes very difficult to get to see everyone when you live in fruvous-deprived area. Everyone listen to hKath. And the girl (Susan was it?) sort of parked herself among the Frulads when they were listening to other bands play. I think she may have been a Fruvous fan prior to the Festival. I forget if I mentioned, but Nishtu participated in the dancing at Saturday night's jam. I do wish they had enough confidence to take the stage though, they looked like they wanted to. The gentleman you are referring to is none other than "Chopper" McKinnon, a local legend in broadcasting and one of the grandaddies of Ottawa-area folk. He has been instrumental in organizing each of the 5 OFF. As for fruheads being frowned upon by the rest of the crowd.... c'mon now. Please tell me that you haven't EVER noticed how when a crowd of die-hard-spend-all-week-following-fruvous that is larger than 10 people shows up at a small festival or venue that the locals hate you? It's their turf and they have the right to get snitty when these loud, obnoxious people who to all intensive purposes look like nothing more than groupies cause havoc. This type of situation could end up hurting the band. I know that if I was one of these annoyed stagehands and didn't know much about Moxy Fruvous I would probably not strain myself to go out and buy their stuff or se them given my perception of the behaviour elicited by their fans. Bah, go ahead... tear a strip off of me if you were insulted by the above. I'm simply stating things the way I see them after having been to various shows this summer. *MOO*MOO*MOO*MOO*MOO*MOO*MOO*MOO*MOO*MOO* Hugo Rodrigues Hugs on the Undernet Journalism Student hprodrig@capitalnet.com http://www.capitalnet.com/~hprodrig Forever Fruvous!!! *MOO*MOO*MOO*MOO*MOO*MOO*MOO*MOO*MOO*MOO* ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V1 #387 ********************************************
