Kelly....You shouldn't be offering to pay for bootlegs of any band, especially Moxy Fruvous. Some bands let people record their shows freely, while most don't. When people start making profits off the Shows, that's when Problems start. No one should ever make money off the work of any band. That's just wrong. There are many people around IRC and the Newsgroup who would be willing to make tapes for you, as long as you send tapes, and return postage. No extra money or tapes are needed, nor are they wanted. The only thing that I, along with other people would usually ask, is that you have all the albums that are currently available to you. Ok? Moxy will be on Friday at about 8 o'clock... my guess is they'll be a *bit* late, as usual... They will also be playing on saturday afternoon, at 2:30. (according to the schedule) You're right about the day passes, which are 13$ each. see ya! - -Mylène - -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/rg_mkgrp.xp Create Your Own Free Member Forum ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Aug 1998 12:55:27 -0500 From: Chad Maloney Subject: Re: I want boots... It is a bad terrible thing to do and it discourages groups that allow tape trading to happen. This has come up a lot lately because of the new influx of people at most of the time it is people not knowing better (and that's why someone always responds to this the same exact way). The proper thing to do is to offer blank tapes and postage both ways. In this case, no one is gaining anything, except the post office. You pay for postage to and from and media and the dubber is just taking the time to do something nice. Once you've done this a couple times, trades are easier. Hmmm... Chad thinks and goes off to come back later possibly to start something else. - Chad ------------------------------ Date: 28 Aug 1998 19:00:47 GMT From: affannat@mail2.sas.upenn.edu (Kelly D Affannato) Subject: Re: I want boots...
