My thoughts on STD can be summed up thusly: 1) I have better TMBG CDs. 2) I have better live CDs. It is nice to have the new songs on something other than bootlegs, though, and I was unexpectedly delighted with "Severe Tire Damage Theme". I always enjoy myself at TMBG shows (speaking of which, anyone else going to the San Francisco TMBG concert next month?), but I've never been blown away by one. That said, I have a friend who also has both CDs and whose opinion is the opposite of mine (i.e. he likes STD but not Live Noise)--he didn't like all the swearing that Fruvous does onstage. I must say he has a point--I'm not much for swearing myself, dagnabit--but I've tuned it out by now. > i was so excited. in the span of mere months, my two > favorite bands were putting out live albums, Hee hee... this spring/summer, THREE of my favorite bands (TMBG, Fruvous, and EFO) all decided to a) put out their first live CDs, and b) tour California. My attempts at long-distance mind control must finally be working. >:> - --nicole the wonder nerd - -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/rg_mkgrp.xp Create Your Own Free Member Forum ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V1 #358 ********************************************
