I believe at the Mel Lastman square concert it was mentioned that sometime near year end that they might wander into a studio and begin work on their new album. It was a good way going into the new tunes (Sad Girl, Pisco, and I will hold on). But whether or not that is entirely true is suspect. I wouldn't mind another live album either though. ;-). I don't think it showcased them as well as Live Noise does for Moxy. One reason? the banter all snipped for a hidden spot at the end of the cd? this almost offends me. BNL shows are all about having fun and going off on improv banter & songs (like Moxy). And what WAS there was VERY minimal. Also the recording length plays more like an instore than a concert.. without BNL tv they could have put a lot more on there; or should have made it a double cd. I have bootlegs that represent them better. . . . . . . . *sarah linnellgirl@tmbg.org http://lava.home.ml.org "you know you want it!" - max weinberg ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 26 Aug 1998 08:37:19 -0500 From: Chad Maloney Subject: Re: Next Frulbum Kelly D Affannato wrote: > > That makes me wonder...when are we to expect another album from the > FruFour? I'd guess they'd take the beginning of next year off again to work on and record new tunes and hopefully kick off next years late spring/summer shows with a new album. That's just a guess. The lads have kinda set themselves up really well for a studio album every two years with a EP or something in the off years. To me, this would be a great way to get out the songs that wouldn't mesh into a long life span full length and keep the masses happy by putting out new tunes. Oh, and I'm almost completely talked out of believing the next Album will be the musical. Maybe it'll be the one after that... - Chad ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 26 Aug 1998 15:20:36 GMT From: Loren Becker Subject: Re: since ceecee asked, more shameless plugging > Please, oh *please* confirm that this collection would also have "10,000 Pounds > of Bananas". Doesn't the song make it clear enough that it's _30_,000 pounds of bananas? It seems like it should have it though I have to say that it is definitely not my favorite Chapin song.
