A great series is the Dortmunder series by Donald E. Westlake. The earlier books are kind of oldish, and probably may be hard to find (except through Amazon or something). It's a great crime/comedy series, starring a bunch of mishaps who always end up spending more than they actually steal. It's a hoot. The books of the series, in order, are: The Hot Rock Bank Shot Jimmy the Kid Nobody's Perfect Why Me Drowned Hopes What's the worst that could happen? Hear hear! Good form! I agree, I wish you a good journey and a safe stay in Israel. Try to stay out of the way of Scuds and truck bombs. :) Now I really am kicking myself for not meeting you in Toronto when I had the chance. *doh* Take care, and best wishes! Personally, I've never been overly concerned with what people think of me based on what I am wearing (and other such small details). If I were, I'd be glued to MTV.... and never would have heard of Fruvous, or the other few dozen bands/performers that nobody knows but that make my musical toes tingle. Well, the people who have sent me their info are: Starfox em Chad Schrock Kelly D Affannato Kevin Way Loren Becker Now, I know that more people have posted on here saying they'd come, but I haven't gotten e-mails from them answering the other questions they posted. Soooo, if y'all want to receive an e-mail with the list of Fruheads planning to make The Trip shortly after September 7th, e-mail me soon! The 7th is a deadline imposed by me, because my classes start Sept. 8th... afterwards, if there's anyone who wants to take this over, feel free to e-mail me. Just in case, here is the information I requested from anyone who may be e-mailing me about this (please write "Halloween at IH" in the header): - ---- - -your name - -where you live (as precisely as possible - nearest big city, freeways etc.) - -whether you can give a ride or need one -if you can give a ride, to how many people? -if you need one, where are the nearest points you can meet people? (geographically, especially if you live in a small town) - -your contact information (e-mail and, if possible, phone #) - -any other info you find relevant - ---- I was not planning to find accomodations for anyone, figured it'd be easier if people did that in small groups. Here's what I wrote in my original post: "Let's give you all until.... let's see.... September 7th, Labor Day. That gives you more than enough time to decide whether you want to be going. At that time, I'll compile the info and e-mail you all back with your options as to groups. I'll probably give you guys info on way more people in your geographic area than you'll end up actually travelling with, but that makes it easier for you to look for accomodations, etc. (meaning, you'll take it from there, basically). Sound good?" Myself, I don't believe I'll be spending the night of the 30th at FruCasa. If you are/were planning on crashing there, please e-mail ceecee or myself right away! >Second question is, are we going to get a bunch of tickets in bulk? >Like, buy up 50 or somesuch and delivery as necessary? 'Cause it >looks like these shows might sell out early. . . Hmmm. Well, I seriously doubt that the shows will sell out by the first/second week of September. So, unless someone is willing to undertake this project on a global scale, I'd say it'll be easier for the smaller groups of people to order them. Less possibility of a mix-up, etc. But, again, if there's someone who wants to keep a list and order the tix (in which case it'd probably have to be done soonish, just so people know where they stand re: tickets), by all means, go ahead. As much as I'd love to do this, school starts in two weeks. And I've still got mounds of Stuff To Do.
