Wow you are lucky. I've requested Fruvous on our local Fruvous-friendly radio station only to listen for two hours and not here any of it (this happened twice). When I called to complain the program director said "Oh we played both those Moxy Fruvous requests of yours - but we played this song called Grunge of Spain off their new album which doesn't sound very much like them so maybe you didn't notice." Nnnnnyrgh! (But the station has gotten better as of late, or so it appears... and by the way Acoustic Cafe played some more Moxy on this weekend's show - Johnny Saucep'n off Live Noise in this case). jordan - -- Verbing weirds language. -- Calvin of "Calvin and Hobbes" ------------------------------ Date: 23 Aug 1998 04:29:21 GMT From: aditu525@aol.com (Aditu525) Subject: Re: Cover tune wish list I think Mike or Dave would sound great doing the Beatles's classic "Hey Jude" or "Stand" (Mike esp) by REM. It seems that Great Big Sea is doing something the call the "Great Big Picnic" on Sat. Sept 12. in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The lineup is Great Big Sea, The Cheiftans, Colin James and the Little Big Men, Philosopher Kings, Bran Van 3000,and The Watchmen. This has set me in the mood for a little adventure. I was wondering if there were any Fruheads, Fruarms, Frufeet or Frubutts out there who might want to come along and ride shot gun or at least water pistol. see ya round, jude ------------------------------ Date: 23 Aug 1998 16:13:51 GMT From: christi218@aol.com (Christi218) Subject: Re: Cover tune wish list I want to hear more Duran Duran (especially 'Save a Prayer.') =D Christine. - --Chrissy_K on irc *^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ Christi218@aol.com & bh108@freenet.buffalo.edu - --Diet soda? - --No thanks. Well I don't know about better than the original, but I heard Je ne regrette rien by Edith Piaf on the radio this morning and thought `That's pure Fruvous'. Jian taking the Edith Piaf role, of course. But to be honest, at this point, I'd just be happy to hear them cover Happy Birthday. I have a 3-br house of which I use 1 (so I can fit 3-12 people, depending on how friendly they are with each other). Also have spacious living room, pool table in dining room. No carpet (hard floor--bring sleeping bag and pad). Six cats (if you're allergic, you probably won't want to stay here). I am about 2 or 3 miles from Ludlow's (10-15 min.).
