Don't know if I'll have time for a review, but "what I learned at Owen Sound" is: (per Mary: >BUT, their >workshop with the Arrogant Worms and the Sirens (amusing female group) was >appropriately titled "Pity the Sirens." Much fun for all with a great song by >Jian..."The Arrogant Worms hate Summerfolk, buy our disks instead.") ...The Arrogant Worms are amazing!!!! I had listened to a tape of theirs before, and wasn't overly impressed, but you HAVE to see them live!! (sound familiar??) Some of the catchiest tunes around - I find myself singing "I'm proud to be Canadian" and "Big Fat Road Manager" around work..hmmm... If you have the opportunity - see them! I spent most of Sunday following them around to workshops and the Quiz Show, which has NOT been overstated as one of the funniest things I've seen. The audience won, by the way. :-) - -Zard "Veni, Vidi, Velcro" - I came, I saw, I stuck around. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 19 Aug 1998 03:17:41 GMT From: ceelove@ibm.net (Colleen Campbell) Subject: Re: All Things Considered - TOMORROW On 18 Aug 1998 13:52:05 -0400, mikep@-spamblock-izzy.net (Michael Pelletier) wrote: >>Augh! Sadly, that won't necessarily invalidate the age limitation. Some venues refuse to let *anyone* in under 21 (or 18, or whatever). I remember stories that Dookie, one of Fruvous's previous road managers, was running into problems because he was only 20 or so, and he was WITH the band! cee ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V1 #317 ********************************************
