I agree, trace.  I had to read "Once and future King" for my senior year 
summer reading....great stuff.

As far as books for frutripping go, you should try the Callahan's books 
by Spider Robinson (also a Canadian these days).  These are great books 
about the kind of folk you find in fruLand....
