Yeah! good idea, I was wondering what happened to those things :), and also, come around at other times, there is almost always someone there :) Life101 ------------------------------ Date: 13 Aug 1998 13:07:22 GMT From: Gruneberg Veronica J <6vjg@qlink.queensu.ca> Subject: A trade offer... I have a Fruvous trade offer to propse. I was at both the Mel Lastman Sq. and Taste of the Soggy Danforth shows, and would really like to have a copy of the tapes of said performances. But what could I possibly offer in return, you ask? Well, I have a copy of an interview I taped a very long time ago off the former AM 640 in Toronto. In fact, the original air date of the interview is July 20, 1993, the release date of Bargainville. It is a fantastic, 20 minute long interview in which the guys promote the CD, and do fantastic live renditions of Spidey and BJ, not to mention witty banter (is there any other kind?) The sound quality isn't too great, but it is 5 years old, and I was 150 km from Toronto when I taped it. So... if anyone has the 2 T.O. shows, and they'd like to trade it for this fine piece of Fruvous history, please e-mail me. (or post...) To anyone else who wants a copy, you can e-mail me too, and I will do my very best to get a copy to you (but unfortunately I can make no promises) :) Veronica (a Fruhead for a _very_ long time) - -- ***************************************************************************** Save the Whales | Veronica Gruneberg Collect the whole set! | Dept. of Biology | Queen's University | Kingston, Ontario "Everyone is someone else's weirdo" | 6vjg@qlink.queensu.ca ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Aug 1998 09:50:15 -0400 From: Geenius at Wrok Subject: Drinking Song (was Re: FAQ) On Thu, 13 Aug 1998, Colleen Campbell wrote: > 30.* Which of the band members writes which song? Well, I HOPE this doesn't constitute prying ... but I've wondered from time to time whether the band actually knew someone who died of alcohol poisoning. Last show I went to, when they performed "Drinking Song," Jian looked like he was about to cry. It's a moving song, but unless it has some personal significance, I can't see it being THAT moving, especially since they have to sing it about 200 days out of the year. - -- "I wish EVERY day could be a shearing festival!" -- The 10 Commandments =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ Keith Ammann is geenius@albany.net "I notice you have a cloud of doom.
