In leiu of Fruspace, tips on reasonable places to stay in those cities would be appreciated too (since I've never been to any of them before). I'm going to have to put in a request too.. it keeps looking better and better that I will actually be able to go to the halloween shows, so to cut costs a little it would be nice if someone in the area might be able to spare some floor space (or I'll tent if I have to...). Or I could just find a hotel in a kind of a run-down area and it wouldn't be much different from the TO trip. *wink wink* "wild" Bill - -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/rg_mkgrp.xp Create Your Own Free Member Forum ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Aug 1998 02:51:00 GMT From: wahrend@my-dejanews.com Subject: Re: Canadian Customs In article <6qqm8k$1t3@valhalla.comshare.com>, mikep@-spamblock-izzy.net (Michael Pelletier) wrote: > > It's borne out by experience, based on my own and those of my friends. > Admittedly not the widest sample, but what can I say, I'm a bit cynical > about it. So, everything that quacks is a duck and everything that barks is a dog? If you're not pre-judging something that you are certainly making a HUGE generalization (which in my definition is taking a rather small sample and then making a grand conclusion based on it). I am sorry that you and your friends have been stopped at the border but I seriously doubt that everyone that is searched is black and that if you are not searched then you must be white. In light of this, I am now starting on a bootlegs collection of show's I've been to. I managed a semi decent recording of the Niagara falls in store show on one of the those mini-wanna-be-spy tape recording devices (tho how to dub onto normal size tapes still eludes me). Anywho, I was wondering if anyone got a recording of the Mel Square show on Fri. I will be more then happy to send you blank tape(s) if you would like. I know I saw some folk with odd looking wires sticking out of them there, usually an indication of recording device (but not always), so if you are willing to dub for another friendly fru fan, let me know. thanks Amy "there is no future, there is no past i live this moment as my last there's only this, there's only us forget regret or life is yours to miss no other road, no other way NO DAY BUT TODAY" ~RENT ------------------------------ Date: 12 Aug 1998 03:32:24 GMT From: nastykiwi@aol.com (Nasty Kiwi) Subject: Wants bootlegs Hey...just a small fruhead here. I was wondering if any of you who have any underground fruvous tape and would like to supply me with one, please contact me. I'll of course, pay for all of the charges. I have been listening to the five regular albums for the past months and I would like some new listening tapes. So, if anyone out there is generous enough to contact me, that would be great. All I am asking for is a tape of one of their concerts, which I don't have as of now. Please help a poor frufan fulfill his dream of owning a tape of a concert. It would be much appreciated. Please contact me anytime. Thanks. Josh (nastykiwi@aol.com) ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V1 #280 ********************************************
