Being detained and/or searched on the majority of times through customs is but one example of the kind of suspicion and harassment that black people face in the US every single day. Just because I related this one example to this thread doesn't mean that I'm making a hasty generalization. You've heard of DUI, but have you heard of the moving violation called "DWB"? Welcome Joni...enjoy this well-lit area of posting, unlike the dark recesses of the lurking area. I've done many a double-takes in stores, because a popular Muzak song is "I've Gotta Get a Message to You", but it's the original. I always stop in the store to make sure it's not the Lads... - --Novac "We've upped our standards. We ate some and it was good. The little differences between Canada and the US continue to amaze me. Pizza Pizza is a major chain. It was where everyone at my elementary school went to get lunch on those days that they were fortunate enough to have permission to leave school grounds. And they've taken over all pizza making at U of G. Not that I'm complaining really, I love Pizza Pizza pizza.
