Well last night we went to see Great Big Sea (thanks for the tip-off Zard) in London and I think myself and the unsuspecting fool I dragged along were the only English people in there. Canadian accents were rife and everyone else was singing along and knew all the words. How can this be? *Nobody* in England has heard of Great Big Sea. Either all the ex-pat Canadians in London crawled out of the woodwork for the evening, or GBS brought the entire population of Newfoundland with then on tour. Do GBS have a *very* loyal following? Superb gig by the way. Pip pip Richard ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 06 Aug 1998 15:14:50 -0500 From: Chad Maloney Subject: Re: Itinerary Update! Well, there's quite a bit more worrying when you're flying due to the ease of crossing over for *good*. Also, they're kinda worried about bombs for some reason. When you're driving, they're not so concerned. Especially in Buffalo, where a huge number of people are crossing just to visit the sites, NiFalls, etc. - --Novac "It's is not, it isn't ain't, and it's it's, not its, if you mean it is. Yes, Upper Merion Township shot a video and yes, IT WILL BE AVAILBLE. It's been moved to the top of the editing list, but still might take a few weeks. To get your copy, call Video Services at 610-265-2600 during business hours and request a copy. It will cost $25, unless you live in this area and can drop off your own tape (then it costs $20). Enjoy people! Mary, who will be arriving in Toronto in exactly 24 hours. PS Please watch for future posts on this. If the video people become overwhelmed with calls, we'll have to come up with another way to do this. - -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/rg_mkgrp.xp Create Your Own Free Member Forum ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Aug 1998 14:30:49 -0700 From: Caitlin Subject: Re: Itinerary Update!
