(He's also inviting you to be >jealous, if that's your thing. *smile*) But we can't believe anything they say on stage, and often have to stay on our toes even when they're NOT on stage. After all, you were at last year's Philly Folk Festival where Jian's Blow Wind Blow lyrics included, "... so I slept with Dan Bern and Laura Love" ... followed shortly thereafter by "I wish." I've seen people wonder at Dan Bern and Laura Love's sexual preference too. Perhaps we're just curious about people whose outwardly visible self confidence in their own sexuality is more obvious than their sexual preference. Hi people, first time post here. I'm a fan of MF, I wouldn't make myself out to be a complete Fruhead, but perhaps with time.... :). anyway, I thought I'd offer a little insight: the name of the "SONO Eddie Vedder Guy" is BJ. I know this because I met him about an hour before the show, since he was there with a guy I knew. His girfriend also apparently made out with my younger brother at a party once, but this has never been proven to me (i.e. my brother never said anything about it) <----- irrelevant ramblings. the point is, this guy's name is BJ, so if you see him around now you'll know. anyway, i don't think I'll be up at any fruvous shows in cananda anytime soon, but perhaps I'll catch you all on the new york swing next fall. take care, jon , .:/ ,,///;, ,;/ o:::::::;;/// >::::::::;;\\\ ''\\\\\'" ';\ ';\ ------------------------------ Date: 5 Aug 1998 19:07:27 GMT From: kdsinthhal@aol.com (KdsInThHal) Subject: Re: Moxy never sent CDs >Because I'm from Denver? (or whatever that is - I was never a Trekkie. And > I'm not a computer geek, neither! So, pooh, Jian!) Thanks for all the encouragement, y'all -- good to know I'm not as elderly as I thought! And it's nice to be welcomed and accepted. What a cool bunch of people. Inspired by the boys in the band, no doubt. I have to make one other comment: at Sunday's show, I finally acquired copies of Bargainville and Wood -- and yesterday when I got home from work feeling depressed and downtrodden ("I Love My Boss!" yeah!) I couldn't wait to crank up my cd player and get cheered up. And it worked! One question from a relatively new fru (nufru?) -- I was listening to "Laika" last night, and they definitely did not play it on Sunday at KofP - -- so what _is_ that song about Rush Limbaugh? and have they recorded it? And what does "Laika" mean? Sorry if I'm being thick -- I know someone will straighten me out -- er, um, I mean, provide me with correct information! ;) Thanks! - -amy- (now officially thinking of myself as Auntie Fru, because I can't wait to bring my 6-month-old niece to a show!) ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V1 #208 ********************************************
