The title was used by the crew during filming (1982) in Yuma, Arizona and Crescent City, CA. :) I'll have to agree with Wrenn on the care of t-shirts. I do the same thing and have never had a problem with them. "Idle banter" on a newsgroup is one thing. Walking up after a concert and asking is quite another. (And I hope the assembled FruMasses smack the asker 'upside the head. Repeatedly.) - -- chad@ radix.net ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 04 Aug 1998 20:17:52 -0400 From: Chad Schrock Subject: Re: Jian's Cool! So are Dave, Mike, and Murray!" :) Sorry. OK, I have a good reason to make all the relatives check FDC *before* they schedule anything. From now on. They really seem to be 'preaching the gosphel(sp?)' in Phildelphia lately. (To paraphrase a post after the Singer-Songwriter show.) Wish they'd do it in DC/Baltimore/ Annapolis more often. :) - -- chad@ radix.net ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 04 Aug 1998 20:46:32 -0400 From: Chad Schrock Subject: Re: More on K of P Lindsay Lion wrote: > > It is a radio station. 88.5 WXPN - the professionally run, > Univeristy of Pennsylvania radio station. I, for one, have to thank Michela Maljoun, the morning host on WXPN[1] and the lad's appearence on her show in May, right around the time "Live Noise" was released. I had heard MBLABOA on "Live at the World Cafe, Volume 4"[2] and didn't think much about it. (I don't like some of the other people on that disc, so I rarely listen to it.) However, after hearing them on Michela's show that morning, I have been hooked ever since. I got a hold of "LN" right after that and have almost worn a hole in the CD from listening to it so much (and loaning it out to other people). I have the other 4 CDs now, too. [1] - Yes, you can hear WXPN in Annapolis (where I live). They are rebroadcast on 2 other frequencies: 88.1 (in Harrisburg, PA) and 90.5 (in Wharton, Md). 90.5 has a strong enough signal to be heard in Annapolis and a good hunk of Baltimore. I can't say enough good things about them. :) [2] - They are getting rid of the "last few copies" of Volume 4 and 5 right now. Call 800-565-WXPN for details. I think they are $20 each. You might also have to be a member of the station. Anyway, whoever answers the phone should be able to tell you. (Become a member, and get the CD you'll be supporting a totally awesome station that supports a totally awesome band. :) - -- chad@ radix.net ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V1 #198 ********************************************
