There is a fundamental difference in ingredient ratios between Pepsi & Coke. Pepsi is a bit more syrupy (and thus more sweet) than Coke. It's like the difference between burgers at McD's and BK. Sure, they both have their similarity, but it's easy to taste the differences, and to see why someone might prefer one to the other. I do think that it's the case that the media and advertising helps push our preferences to the extreme, though. Pepsi's taste causes me to prefer it, but advertising helps me say "I can't stand Coke! As far a sets go, I think it was a decent set. I was happy to see that they opened with something different that Sahara, which they used at the Lilac festival. Overall it was just a cool show and though the crowd seemed a bit rude at times (ie. not knowing when to shut up) but Fruvous had good energy and they seemed to enjoy the scenery and the people. And the fact that they were playing on a barge was preety cool too. I'm not really good at writing reviews(I like pretty much every fruvous show I've ever seen) so I'll leave it to someone else who was there. Please post your opinions on the show so everyone can get a nice panoramic idea of what it was like. Hope my photos come out, - -Erich the Mountain Fru Guy ------------------------------ Date: 25 Jul 1998 15:49:14 GMT From: joshw@bgnet.bgsu.edu (Josh Woodward) Subject: Re: Review of 7/17 Burlington, VT show Stephen R. Granted, his "solo" work isn't as good as his stuff with Phish, but the guy is a great songwriter despite the fact he can't really sing. :-) I guess it's a love/hate thing, though it seems more hate (even amongst Phish fans). Send my mother back down here! :) Actually, I don't think that I could get either of my parents to do *anything*, let along go to a concert....
