Actually, I believe Jian played piano on "Lazlo's Career." The Fruv finally made it to Kingston - it's been quite a while since they've been here (the last show, which was about 2 years ago, I believe, got cancelled sadly). So, I was excited that they were actually playing in the town where I live! The All-folks festival was a great location - a great view of the lake (and unfortunately, the Dupont plant behind), and the sunset had the courtesy not to interfere with the show! :) The energy level was high on Sunday night - and the Fruvous were definately rocking. I can't remember the setlist, but a couple of the highlights for me were Green Eggs & Ham (unfortunately the short version, but I haven't heard it live in a long time, so it was still great), the Love Potion #9 medley, and their encore of Brown Eyed Girl (which had the whole place dancing!). Anyways, I know this is a short review, but I don't have any great stories to tell. I just noticed that no one else had posted a review yet, so I just wanted to let everyone know what a great concert it was - and how great it was to have the boys back in Canada! :) Sara _______ The secret of life: breathe in, breathe out, repeat. ------------------------------ Date: 22 Jul 1998 19:01:04 GMT From: ourhamster@aol.com (OurHamster) Subject: Re: This weekend's Syracuse show.. >PS - River Stage 6:30 and 8:00 >FruSpace - We came, we saw, we slept on the floor . . . Yes, and for those of you who have never been to Harborfest (not to be confused with harborFRONT :) you'll want to include a bit of buffer time to get there early. Traffic pretty much jams the city, and you'll probably be waiting for trollies/buses. Can be a pain getting around from one part of the city to another. Then again, maybe it's not so bad, but Oswego is kinda local for me, so I know how crowded it usually isn't... - --Novac - ---------------------------------------- '#,:#$#. ,,, $, #, ,, ,,, :# '#; .#' `, #, ,$ .# #; .#' ` $# '# ##. : #,,#' #' '# ##. ,:' ,#' '#:,,#' ;' "#,,$#,. I object to the plan to write EFO in as a suggested act for the next Falcon Ridge... they may still be relatively small on the east coast, but they have a very loyal following on the West coast & since certain bands from Toronto won't grace us with their presence we need *something*! I almost pulled it off to coe home for Falcon Ridge this weekend, since my team from work is flying into Albany for the week... but not quite. Is that how Australia is run? (Australia, Australia, Australia - we love you!) I most certainly did *not* mean Republican, as in "party." :-) Or Democratic, as in "party" either. Jian talks about them being Republicans... but not in the American sense, of course. :) For the full version of the intro, I guess y'all will just hafta go to a show... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vika [VEE-kah] Zafrin Patron Saint of Caffeine dacilen at bu dot edu aka Coffee Fru "You and your hula dance of culinary delight..." -ceecee ------------------------------ Date: 22 Jul 1998 20:50:50 GMT From: elrond@fellspt.charm.net (Matt James) Subject: Re: greetings from Alberta!
