Juan??? And since when does Jian play the keyboard? Actually there are also some missing here, especially with the new songs like Sad Girl and Sleepy Drinker. It should really read: Michael Ford on vocals/guitar/keyboard/harmony/percussion/harmonica/bass; Murray Foster on vocals/bass/guitar/drums/percussion; Jian Ghomeshi on vocals/drums/percussion/guitar; Dave Matheson on vocals/banjo/accordian/keyboard/piano/guitar/bass; Did I miss any? - - jordan - -- Fnord is the little green pebble in your shoe. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 22 Jul 1998 12:04:12 -0400 From: hakmusic@juno.com (Harry A Keates) Subject: Re: Have Fun At Falcon Ridge!!!!! > Hey, speaking of which--headcount! Who all's gonna be there? (me me > me!) I'll be there Friday and Saturday. You will likely find me planted at the workshop stage (what a great schedule this year for that stage). Unfortunately, I am going to miss the main stage performances by several of the acts I most wanted to see because they are on Friday (GBS) or late at night (Dar, Nields). Thankfully, I will not miss Vance or Patty Larkin. : ) Harry _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. It seems that I will be trekking up to Toronto on my own the weekend of the 7th-9th [my partner in crime has decided not to join me :( ] and, due to strained finances, I was wondering if anyone has "crash space" available. All I need is a small place on the floor/in the yard and a quick shower in the morning...*grin*...it doesn't even have to be hot. ;) I'll have my own transportation *crossed fingers* so that won't be a problem. Any offers will be greatly appreciated!! Always, - Maige ;P Email me at: Fruvous@bigfoot.com :) - -- *************************************** "To be different is to suffer at the hands of the normal." Their songs, which tend to be crunchy-greeny-lovey peace ballads, are okay; but their guitar pieces are pretty durn good. I suspect that EFO playing this year's Philly Folk Festival will help them greatly. The American Automobile Association is > a lobby, as is any union to which you belong, as is the AARP. However, I > think it would be counterproductive to fight lobbies; they represent us. The tobacco lobby? The private industry lobby(ies)? The NRA lobby? Lobbies represent a specific side of an issue, not the issue itself. That is why they exist. NOW is a lobby, but not all women agree with what they represent. What should those women do? Get operations? How about the NAACP? Should every person of color belong to that organization? A lobby group should *never* be confused with the wider group from which they came. The AARP does *not* represent every person over 55! Only its fee paying members. And while the AARP may have a history of trying to truly represent its members, many lobbies don't. I don't want a lobby to represent me, even if I happen to belong to its organization (if there is one, which there isn't always). I want fair laws to protect me, and you, and the guy down the street, and to preserve our freedoms. Just laws apply to all citizens equally; if they don't, they are unjust. It is only the existence of our impure*, imperfect systems that allows, even necessitates, lobbies. Melanie *By impure, I mean, not truly democratic/republican. There's too much fascist/socialist influence for my idealistic view of how things should work to come about, not in my lifetime at least. ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V1 #142 ********************************************
