The live set is pretty much done from my understanding anyways. The only exception is when it is for your own PERSONAL use, such as when you buy the CD but make a tape for your car. Moxy Fruvous is wonderfully tolerant of fans who tape and trade shows, but I think that's largely because most, if not all, of us already have bought the existing commercial releases. Let's not give them any reason to change their views toward this by cheating them out of royalties they deserve for their work product that we so richly enjoy. Help me prove that fru-dom really >is that organized... Hmm, I'm pretty sure I don't have that. However, they did talk about the fan suggestions for the 2nd album title, and "Songs for Nat Gertler" came up as being a well-liked suggestion - that was at the WBER radio show on Nov 1, 96 in Rochester NY. It was also broadcast on Channel 3 in Rochester on Time Warner cable. They didn't do a live KoS for that show. However, I'd start by checking out the Nov 1st and 2nd concerts (Rochester and Buffalo) since it was probably still in the collective conscious mind that is Fruvous. Shipping is reasonable too! ------------------------------ Date: 16 Jul 1998 03:06:09 GMT From: starfox@Bacon.Eggs.And.NOSPAM.nationwide.net Subject: Re: fruvous mix DALevy wrote: : Dubbing it to tape is exactly what I was referring to as UNcool and illegal. : The only exception is when it is for your own PERSONAL use, such as when you : buy the CD but make a tape for your car. Well, and I'm not going to get into the technicalities of the law, but as for dubbing to tape, I think a mix, to intro someone to a band is perfectly okay. Sorta like taping off the radio, you only get a subset of different albums. Usually I do this with people I think will like them and buy the albums anyway. :) Starfox "Proud owner of 5 legal copies of Fruvous music. :)" - -- Starfox starfox (at) nationwide dot net "We each pay a fabulous price, for our visions of paradise." - Rush "Mission" ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V1 #110 ********************************************
