You're right -- the Elliott Bay Bookstore must be spared. Lake Washington is a perfectly acceptable substitute, provided the coffee grounds float over into the vicinity of Medina and a particular waterfront (albeit mostly underground) mansion. When she comes home I would like to host a fairly huge Fruhead party welcoming her back. Hopefully, this will coincide with the FruCon, so we can then all head up to Toronto for that. Anyone interested? Sorry, just *had* to do it: Doors open at 8, Opening act at 9, Fruvous is on at 10. Out of the clear blue, how many Früheads are X-Philes? 'Cause I've gotta admit that I have seen every episode since day 1. Well? Speak up! Let's hear from you all... later, tom. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 10 Nov 1998 11:13:38 GMT From: "Jack S. Porcello" Subject: FruHead X-philes Mark me down, Tom. It seems to me that the *alternative music* genre is used as a catch all for any band that defies the corporate music business' pre-approved, all-purpose, candy-coated, easilly-marketed categories. When people ask me what kind of music Moxy Fruvous is, I tell them "contemporary, would you like a listen?" and then play some for them. Then they come to the realization that Moxy Fruvous belongs in the category of *great, entertaining, incredibly well thought-out, anti-pop-corporate-machine music*, just as they promise me all of their worldly belongings for a copy of the demo tape. I've always been an auditory learner myself. :) Peace, Jack ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 09 Nov 1998 10:20:33 +0000 From: Richard Butterworth Subject: Re: Something I noticed....
