(aug 7,8,9) I will definitely be there. The only lingering question is whether my employer will be sending me to Toronto that weekend (in which case I get 0.31/mi) or not. This is the only ng I read (unless I'm trying to debug my latest Windows NT BSOD *heehee*). Fruvous is a different kind of band that attract a different kind of person. Apparently, we all got our attitude check some time ago and there ain't no "blow-it-out-yer-ear" in this general vicinity (&ifthereisillkickyerass). I am truly impressed by the quality. The band has it, and I say (humbly) that we have it too. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 06 Jul 1998 10:36:56 +0100 From: Richard Butterworth Subject: Re: Fruvous in England? All three days probably. The lineup is (begining at 3pm): Francis Dunnery James McMurty Moxy Fruvous Patti Griffin Mary Arden Collins And allow me to continue to encourage folks to come early for Francis Dunnery. He really is fabulous. You can hear sound clips at CDNow, if you responded with "who?" WXPN plays him so much now that I forget that other people aren't hearing him all day long. See you this weekend! Hi all! I'm pretty sure the list above isn't in order of performance time...I know Fruvous is scheduled second-to-last (around 5:00 or 6:00 I think)--I'll be in the studio at WXPN on Thursday so I'll check out the final lineup and post it here. And speaking of getting there early, I STRONGLY reccommend arriving early regardless of who else (aside from Fruvous) you want to see; it will be VERY crowded (not that Fruheads really need encouragement to arrive early!). It's first-come/first-served seating on a large area in front of the stage; you sit on somewhat shaded cement steps (no folk festival-y grass!), smashed in with all the other people who want an actual seat (you can stand on the sides or in the back, but you'll be in the sun) which can be rather uncomfortable. Lots of people come early and stay all day. Also, just to clarify from one of the other posts about this show: if you're planning to come for more than one day (and aren't an 'XPN member) it's $5 per day, not $5 for the whole weekend. So...I hope to see you there! Jessica "Fashion Fru" Baskin ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V1 #63 *******************************************
