This is the one with The Wreck of the Fairchild on it. I have been looking for this album for many years and it is always so hard to identify because most of the versions have the same catalog number and front album cover. Also since there are so few used record stores these days, I had wondered if I'd ever find a copy. This finally completes my collection of GAOW versions :-) Also my long back-ordered copy of TFE remaster from Tower.com finally arrived. I can now bask in the comfortingly warm tones of TFE with my best headphones on. - -russell milliner milliner@pobox.com http://www.tmdrfan.com/russell/ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Aug 2009 19:29:52 +0100 From: "Paul latham" Subject: Re: Alloy: rare Golden Age of Wireless finally found Congrats Russell, There is no other feeling like tracking down an elusive record, you think it will never happen then one appears. Plus nice to hear someone else loves their vinyl oh the memories of a big plastic bag with the name of a local record store on the side with a large square shape outlined and everyone wonders what vinyl LP or 12" you have purchased. Then came casettes and CD's which could fit in your inside pocket and no one would ever know - wheres the fun in that. All the best everyone, From Paul wallowing in past purchasing memories. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Russell Milliner" To: "Alloy" Sent: Tuesday, August 11, 2009 6:20 PM Subject: Alloy: rare Golden Age of Wireless finally found > > I just felt I had to share this with some folks who would appreciate it. > :-) > > I just received yesterday through an eBay purchase a copy of the first > version of the Golden Age of Wireless.
