He didn't even used it at all on other tracks. Although I prefer the official version, it's great to hear the alternative version of Puppet Theatre too. Thomas was generous to share all those stuff with his fans.... freely. ----- Original Message ----- From: Merujo To: alloy@smoe.org Sent: Wednesday, July 15, 2009 11:31 PM Subject: Re: Alloy: Forum note from TMDR On Wed, Jul 15, 2009 at 9:23 PM, PAULO wrote: > > Just loved the flying north demo. > It is still my favorite song from the old days... > ... ah well, there's submarines too... > ...almost forgot airwaves too... > > I love the end of the "Flying North" demo. Sweet! What a wonderful set of gems for a summer night. Yes, it's Christmas in July! Hi folks, I was remiss in not forwarding this from TMDR's Twitter feed today: I will be live on BBCRadio6 Roundtable this evening 6pm UK time--you can get it online I believe. Last time I did it was ~1983! Listen live here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/ - -- Please ask your senator to support the WASP Congressional Gold Medal bill: http://mikulski.senate.gov/record.cfm?id=309930& ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Jul 2009 12:31:39 -0600 From: Keith Stansell Subject: Re: Alloy: TMDR on BBC Radio 6 live - right now! Whoops. I missed the live feed. There is a link to replay today's show - but it does not seem to be available yet. Sorry to have been so quiet. I've been lurking for a while now. I had trouble posting here in the past because my emails seemed to be on a 24 hour delay of some sort, so I switched to my google account. I just wanted to say how excited I am about the re-releases and Singular. I got Singular last week. I watched the video portion, but haven't listened to the CD yet. Last night and this morning I listened to the GAOW 2009 remaster on Rhapsody and it was so great to hear the tracks in the order and as they were on the imported cassette I bought while in college. I listened to that cassette until it wore out (not realizing how rare it was). It was that cassette that brought me to Alloy - because I wanted to find out more about Wreck of the Fairchild and why it was missing from the CD version of the album. Hearing that version of the album brings back a lot of memories of college and driving back home for the weekend this the windows down and TMDR on the stereo. I'm looking forward to getting the CD and DVDs. - -Keith (no longer the Sole Inhabitant) Stansell On Thu, Jul 16, 2009 at 11:04 AM, Merujo wrote: > > Hi folks, > > I was remiss in not forwarding this from TMDR's Twitter feed today: > > I will be live on BBCRadio6 Roundtable this evening 6pm UK time--you can > get > it online I believe.
