Also, I did do a cover of Weightless and posted it online last year for the ALLOY members. It's also included on my new album "Love and Armageddon" coming out this summer! I was thinking about Bruce Woolley a week ago Saturday when a friend and I saw DeVotchKa and David Byrne out at Wolftrap - the beautiful national performing arts park here. DeVotchKa is an astoundingly talented group of musicians - all of them playing at least two instruments - and the lead singer/guitarist plays theremin, too. I think this was - other than at the Museum of Musical Instruments in Moscow - the first time I've ever seen/heard a theremin played live, in person. I just love the thought of a band touring with a theremin. Thank god that day was our first in ages without heavy rain and copious lightning! (Hey, let me stand here on stage with a tuneful lightning rod!) :) BTW, Chris Merriman is a member of the TMDR Forum. He goes by the moniker "Shingle Street Coastguard". He hinted around a great deal that he was involved in the project in some way, and reading between the lines a few folks figured out what his role was. And then I found this: http://essentialwriters.com/chris-merriman-talks-about-how-he-went-from-managing-a-call-centre-to-interviewing-tori-amos-1579.htm Lucky guy. Bill - *love* your cover of "Weightless" and how cool is it that it'll be on your new album?! NEAT!! I'm annoyed to say that my copy of "Singular" still hasn't shown up. I foolishly used an Amazon vendor out of the UK. Should have read their feedback - every few comments is about poor communication and delays in shipment. Grr. In theory, I should have it in the next week or so, but I trust these guys about as far as I could throw 'em. Oh well - I've waited a good number of years to see some of the videos for the first time. Guess another couple of weeks won't kill me. Hope everyone is doing well!
